Herschel Park is a lovely and peaceful green space in the heart of Slough. It's well-maintained, with beautiful landscaping, a large pond, and a variety of trees and flowers that make it perfect for a relaxing walk or picnic. The park has plenty of benches, open grassy areas for kids to play, and wide paths that are great for walking, jogging, or pushing a stroller.
It’s a great place for families, especially with young children, as it feels safe and welcoming. The wildlife around the pond, like ducks and birds, adds to the charm. It’s also a nice spot for photography or just enjoying a bit of quiet away from the busy town center.

This part of the park covers 7.8 acres. The South Side of the park, added in 1982 is a complete contrast. A further 11.3 acres it has been left as a wild natural nature reserve. The area extends right the way down to the motorway. There is a small car park just off the Datchet Road which can take about 8 to 10 cars. Note that this car park is open from 8.00am to 8.00pm or dusk whichever is sooner. If your car is locked in, it won't be accessible until 8.00am the...
