Iāve never felt more welcome in a cafĆ©/ restaurant. Since moving to Totnes, Iāve become a real regular here and aside from the consistently delicious and locally-sourced menu (which is also great value), the staff are absolutely golden. They really talk to you like a friend, make an effort to remember your name and order and have consequently created a really wholesome community atmosphere. The indoor space is cosy but theyāve also created a beautiful outdoor seating area, surrounded by community flower beds. Iām almost reluctant to share this diamond with the rest of the world, but if youāre visiting Totnes or live nearby, do yourself a favour and eat here. Itās tucked away off the high street and has the perfect balance of energy and peace. The Seoul food and steak sandwiches are my go-to, or the new breakfast burrito (with added steak) and my partner loves the pancakes. They have an incredible selection of gf/veggie/vegan/allergy friendly options, which people Iāve brought here loved. The old fashioned short bread is the perfect accompaniment to a post-lunch hot drink but the cardamom bun, lemon drizzle and banana/chocolate/sesame cakes are excellent too. The apple juice is delicious and incredibly local. I really canāt fault this place and I feel very grateful that itās part of my week. Once youāve been once, you wonāt be able...
Read moreI only stopped here for a chocolate hazelnut biscoff as the library was short staffed and opening later. The canteen saved the moment from getting worse as they had an outdoor shelter set up to keep their seats dry and seagulls out of sight. (all other seats in the courtyard were wet) loafs of nicr food options here. The biscoff was cheapest on offer at £1 as I'm short of funds for more lavish things, but was worth every scrumptious chocolately nutty bite. Nice totnesian community vibe and I like how it's situated in a quiet courtyard surrounded by a wall and community mansion and the library., all just off the main...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a wonderful eatery in the heart of Totnes and a great place to eat al fresco in the glorious Devon sunshine. The menu is well thought out and there are additional specials on the boards where you order. The food is prepared lovingly, to a high standard, and all the staff are knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and extremely professional. During my visit they were extremely supportive of one of our party that had allergy to a particular oil and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. What an amazing place. Highly, highly...
