We visited Dartmouth for the day and came across Broadstone Café after a bit of research — and we weren’t disappointed.
It was a sunny day, and we were able to sit outside. The coffees were excellent, and the food available was really nice, with some interesting sandwiches and tasty fillings. The lady who runs the café is also very friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. We stayed for a little while, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere before heading off to explore Dartmouth.
What makes this café even more appealing is its location — tucked away just off the main streets, yet only a stone’s throw from the shops. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee away from the hustle and bustle.

My husband and I spent a lunchtime at Broadstone Cafe during which time we had some excellent coffee and really tasty sourdough open sandwiches made with seasonal ingredients. The wild garlic hummus with feta was a real treat and the serrano ham and cheese toasty was cooked well and was really flavoursome. We finished with a slice of yummy lemon cake. Because the drinks, cakes and pastries are consistently good, and because the person running the cafe is friendly and makes it welcoming, we'll continue to return here.
