My husband and I visited for the first time this evening. We had pre booked a table upstairs as there was a female singer downstairs in the main bar. I ordered a pizza and my husband ordered sliders. My pizza was lovely, very tasty and hot. My husband ordered chicken gyoza sliders and they were shocking! The buns were burnt, black in parts and the chicken was sooo overcooked it broke up into crispy nothingness. No scallions and he couldn’t taste the honey or the gochugang just nothing there, like eating shells of crispy nothingness. I mentioned it prior to leaving and the response was , sorry I’ll pass it back. When you’ve paid £14 for two small sliders of burnt food it’s just not good enough. No offer of refund or a drink in recompense. Very poor which is a shame as the main bar downstairs was a good vibe. Not sure if we will...
Read moreThe first thing you notice about the Sail Loft is how beautifully decorated it is. From the outside garden, through the main bar, and upstairs to the balcony is exquisite and you can tell a lot of care and pride has gone into it. The second thing you notice is how wonderful the staff are. The owners are incredibly warm and friendly and it is abundantly clear that it is important to them that you have the best experience possible. There are a large selection of drinks and the menu is small but excellent. We had pizzas on our last visit that were absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. On the occasions I have visited The Sail Loft there has always been an incredible atmosphere and the entertainment has been top notch. I have no hesitation in stating that it is the finest venue in Dartmouth. Long may...

We didn't eat here, but the place has been cleverly designed and decorated (I remember the building when it really was a sail loft). Dartmouth pubs tend to have the same old beers - but here I found a new one (Salt) that was very pleasant. It was the day of the passing out parade at Britannia and I'm not sure whether the customers reflected the usual clientele. Will definitely come back. Incidentally, the Tripadvisor reviews are of the bar of the same name - in Datmouth USA. All...
