Zappa's — Restaurant in South Hams

Excellent vegan foods & drinks, the salad was exceptional, bursting with different flavours.Vanilla milkshake was a gorgeous flavour.( My partner ordered the milkshake & the lady behind the counter accidently made too much so brought me half a glass! So kind 😃 I recommend the Citrus cake, best cake I have ever had, rich dark marmalade & creamy butter icing in the middle, sublime! Really nice cafe, friendly staff and very tasty food. We had a Kimchi roll, red Thai pasty and a vegan sausage roll; all gorgeous. Others in our group had the delicious cauliflower bites (and I am not normally a fan of cauliflower).

Two weaknesses: the toilet is up several flights of steps (more for Awareness of people reading this not a criticism) and for me the coffee could have been stronger (but that is personal taste).

Really good value as well, 2 coffees, sandwich, sausage roll and pasta plus juices for kids was about £20, which when you compare it to a chain coffee shop is...

This is a lovely place where you don't have to ask if anything is plant-based...because everything is. Dog friendly too. Will definitely come back here again.

Update Returned here in December 2023 to try the food. It is absolutely delicious and wholesome. The service is fantastic and the food is very reasonably priced. There are many good cafes in Totnes and, of them all, this is our favourite.
