Wow, what a fantastic meal. We decided to go to Amici's in Spalding for my girlfriend's birthday and it was worth the journey from Peterborough. The staff were awesome and extremely accommodating. There were quite a few of us with differing dietary requirements but the menu is excellent, there is a great choice of food and we all ate different dishes. The feedback from everyone on the table was excellent and it was great to experience authentic Italian food. One girl even said that the pizza was better than the one they had in Italy as they had just come back from her holiday. The guys who never ate at Amici before said that they wanted to book again. The bill was very reasonable when we had starters, mains and a few desserts (not to mention 3 bottles of prosecco!). It was evident that the ingredients were of high quality and it is great to see a family run restaurant make such a great effort for us in everything that they did considering how hard it must be for restaurants today. Thank you for a really great evening, excellent food of the highest quality and please thank all your staff for the super service. Hope to see...

Amici is a genuine gem in Spalding. From the moment you step through the door, the warm welcome and relaxed yet classy atmosphere set the tone. The service is spot-on... attentive without being intrusive... and the food⦠simply outstanding.
Every dish feels carefully crafted with real attention to flavour, freshness, and presentation. The quality is undeniable and the value is excellent for what you get. Iām someone who happily travels up to two and a half hours for a good meal, and Iāve eaten at Michelin-starred restaurants... Amici truly holds its own among them.
I live around half an hour away and I can honestly say itās more than worth the journey. In fact, I donāt think Peterborough has anything that comes close. Between the atmosphere, the service, and the food itself, this restaurant delivers a dining experience thatās both special and memorable.
If you appreciate good food and a restaurant that really gets it right, Amici deserves to be at the very top...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the self-styled "number 1 Italian restaurant in Lincolnshire". It's the only Italian restaurant I've personally visited in Lincolnshire so can't speak to that claim but there's no obvious justification behind it on the advertising. That being said, it was definitely better than the usual "cookie-cutter" chain Italians like Prezzo or Bella Italia. I had tagliatelle with mushroom which was well cooked with a good texture but the sauce itself was a little bland. My eating companion reported a similar result. The same companion remarked that the deserts were excellent. Another diner with us had a pizza which looked lovely but I personally found the crust erring a little on the chewy side versus crispy but I'm happy to mark that as a personal taste thing.
Overall, the experience was good but not excellent. I'd certainly visit again if I had to entertain a group in Spalding centre...
