During my latest order with Shanghai Gardens, I experienced very appalling service. In fact my order was no where to be seen for over two hours after placing it. I recived zero phone calls, emails, as well as text messages! Finally when I realised that the order had been taking too long to deliver, I resulted in contacting the takeaway, during the phone call I have been awfully treated, the person on the phone lacked manners and respect towards me, claiming that it was my fault Because the driver had already tried to contact us regarding the delivery when in fact, I recived no phone calls whatsoever..furthermore, the driver had already gone home and the takeaway was supposingly closed at 11:05pm although, according to their website information they are open till 11:30pm..Overall, I did not get a refund for the order I placed and never got delivered. I am definitely dissipointed with the unprofessional customer service that I recieved and I will not be buying Chinese takeaway from Shanghai...

We got one spring roll each, one won ton each basically one thing (out of the 6) that we ordered. When we asked for more starters we were told we would have to be charged. We weren’t happy as one item per person is definitely not enough😂 the majority of the staff are 15 year olds, it was very unprofessional, especially our Waiter. Our drinks came without ice, we weren’t given fresh cutlery after our starters. We didn’t eat our mains as we felt like we were being ripped off. They decided to take £4 off our bill, and the total was £57 for two drinks, 1 spring roll, 1 wonton, 1 chicken wing and prawn crackers. And didn’t even eat our mains. Honestly, never leave reviews wherever I go, but I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning to this restaurant. The Beijing Palace is much better in comparison to this....
Read moreTook over 2 hours for delivery to arrive! Pointless having an app that tells you a false delivery time and tells you that your food has been delivered when it actually hasn't! Had to ring a couple of times to get an update, was told that it was due to bad weather and that they had taken around 90 orders. In my opinion that's bad management, you don't take the orders if you can't deliver on time! You may have taken more money on the night, but how many customers like myself have been put off from ordering again from yourselves?? The website says that you pride yourselves on giving excellent customer service, having been in that industry for 40 plus years, I think theirs still lessons to be learnt and an awful long way to go before you get to that standard of service.
