Model Fish Bar — Restaurant in South Kesteven

When i visited this very Welcoming Establishment, i was Greeted with a very Warm Welcome. I was Treating my Bestfriends to meal, upstairs in there Restuarant. We made our way upstairs to there Restaurant and found a table and Grabbed some Menu's. We perused through the Menu's and chose what we wanted to have for our meals each. We chose the Large Fillet of Cod & Chips with Peas and Curry Sauce. With our Food i ordered us three Coca Cola's. We did not have long to wait for our Food. They brought us our Food in about 30/45 minutes. We were very Impressed with our Plates of Deliciousness and very Well cooked Fine Fayre. We really Loved our Food and Drink. Very Relaxing Restaurant and Atmosphere. When we had finished our Food, i asked for the Bill. I Paid in Full and gave a Generous Gratuity for the Excellent Customer Service, Food and Drink and a Great Atmosphere. We will be back. I absolutely Recommend with all of my Heart. Been ordering from here for years, but just had the worst service from a male employee after receiving our battered halloumi/sausages via delivery and finding the batter was thick soggy like a skin 🤢 this happened a few weeks ago and the lady I spoke to was so great and said the batter had been applied too thickly causing it not to crisp up, and sorted us a replacement at a later date. Today after the same thing again (we have ordered in between and numerous times over the past year and always been perfect) I called to ask for replacements. I was made to feel like I was making a habit out of this and according to the sarcastic chap on the phone this happens in transit! Very different to what the lady said to me last time! Seems to me whoever is cooking isn’t checking what they are sending out. Bloke was so rude we won’t be using again, he needs some lessons in customer service! Delivery driver spot on an that's where it ended, for the last 3 to 4 times ordering the food has been going downhill quickly, the 1/4 chicken has been dry an looking like it's been in the microwave for an hour the chips have gotten harder an harder an anything that had batter on it has gone from a light coloured crispy batter to a very dark brown over cooked batter. Last ordered 18/2 and this is the worst it's been very dark brown batter with an over cooked flavour some not edible an everything was swimming in fat with actual small puddles sitting in the wrapping, potato scallops had soaked up alot of the fat from their wrapping after picking through the food to be able to eat something it unfortunately made some people unwell. Dont know what is going on at the Model fish bar but the food was 90% of the time is good quality food an don't think will be ordering anything again from here...
