If I could give 0 stars, I definitely would. I hardly feel compelled to write these sort of negative reviews however this restaurant takes the cake. -Ordered water and the waitress verbally told us that she forgot about it, and had to ask twice in 20 mins to get our water. -We also ordered 2 different types of tea. When the waitress brought the tea to our table, she said to us "I don't know which teapot contains which flavour of tea." It would have easily been solved if she had opened the lid to check, as one would be able to differentiate from the tea leaves. -Teapot design seems to be flawed, or too much water was inside the teapot. When the tea is poured out it always leaks and spills onto the table. -Ordered the "Platter of Mixed Barbecued Meats" in medium. On the menu, it reflects the 3 selections: crispy pork, roasted duck and char siu pork. The waitress asked us which 4 options did we want. I told her there were only 3 items listed? She said no there's 4. I asked her what's the 4th option available then and she said she suddenly said there isn't a 4th option. To say she was unprofessional would be an understatement. When the food arrived, there were 4 items on the plate. Crispy pork, roasted duck. char siu pork and soya chicken. lol. The crispy pork was chopped really awkwardly, like a triangle shape so the top part of the skin was really small, but at the bottom it was big. It was also a really small portion for £22.50, and taste wise it was merely decent. -Really tiny portion of foods and a bit overpriced in my opinion. Does not seem to be very fresh. Might be frozen? Tastewise was just average, nothing outstanding. Below expectations. -The cherry on the cake was that the waitress was trying to refill our teapot with a hot water flask. She pressed the button to release the hot water but it seems like there was no hot water left inside the flask as she had already tipped the flask to a 90 degrees angle and yet no water was coming out. Instead of getting a new flask, she applied more pressure on the button. Suddenly, the flask pressure "broke" and hot water spurted out on us. I was scalded by the hot water. We were extremely shocked and shouted in pain. A half-hearted apology was issued by the waitress, and no further action was taken on her part. We even had to ask her for tissues to wipe off the water. -All service staff was not well versed with the menu either.
Overall, it was a terrible experience here. Would not recommend anyone to...
Read moreCame here for an early dinner before 5pm, so we were able to have 20% discount. Food: •Char siu (normal portion): it looks dry, but when you eat it's very soft and not chewy at all. Will definitely order this again next time. •Iced milk tea: for me it's a bit too sweet, as they use condensed milk, but it's still worth trying. A little pricey, but I would still order it again, as the tea does taste like HK milk tea. •Beef wok fried ho fun: not bad, but missing a bit more "wok hei" (鑊氣). Probably won't order this again. •Cha Leung: unfortunately it's not crispy enough in the middle, but the Cheung fun is good. •Har gau: definitely recommend trying this. The prawns tastes fresh and the seasoning won't overpower the prawns. The outer layer is also very thin (which is a good thing). •Salted egg custard bun: it's supposedly be a melted centre, but unfortunately it wasn't. Also the bun is too thick with not much filling. There's not much salted egg, but a very strong custard taste to it. Will not be ordering this again. •Siu mai: nothing disappointing but also no good surprises. •BBQ crispy pork (normal portion): skin is crispy and the seasoning is alright. There's not too much fat in the meat, so there is a decent amount of meat in each piece. •Roast duck (1/4): unfortunately this was quite disappointing too. The skin isn't crispy enough and in general a bit too salty.
The service of the staff is good, very friendly. The seating is spacious and tables are clean. Even on a weekday it was moderately busy, but still plenty of good seats to choose from.

Read moreI was very disappointed with the service of M'Dim Sum today. As regular customers we have always found the friendliness, service and quality good until I placed an order using the deliveroo app for a fish ball, fish cake, BBQ pork, baby corn and rice noodles. I only received the fish balls, rice noodles Nd broth with the deliveroo order.
I contacted the restaurant directly as he knows me and the first excuse he gave is the kitchen had run out and they had not been told fish cakes had finished so they compensated with the extra fish balls. I explained that this is misrepresentation of the restaurant menu and I am not happy as it was a long wait and not the correct representation of the menu. He kindly offered a credit not stating how much but had I dined in I would have returned it being very disappointed.
Today I went to the restaurant with my family and was given a £5.00 credit deducted from a £79.00 bill, the food was okay but my husband was disappointed with the broth from the honey BBQ pork noodle soup. There was also lack of vegetables and sauce on both my daughter and myself s order of crispy pork belly with BBQ pork and steamed rice, the rice was very dry.
This was a very disappointing experience considering the previous misrepresentation which is as stated on the restaurants dine in menu, we said thank you and left but I doubt I will go back as it's not value for money and overpriced. Unfortunately M'Dim Sum have lost...
