Mail Room Bar and Kitchen — Restaurant in Southampton

I live very close to this place and I was hoping to turn this into my new local. The location is great and they have shade in the summer! I visited this place several times but every visit was worse than the previous. The thing which infuriated me the most is that the prices changed depending on which member of staff serves you! I got a round and spent £10, I got a second round of the same and I spent £12, my partner got a round of the same and he paid £9...?! I queried that with the members of staff and they had no explanation. The place fills up with screaming children whose parents couldn't care less that their screaming brats were literally sat at our table touching everything with their hands right in the middle of a global pandemic. We asked a member of staff to speak to the parents and he refused so we left and sat across the street. The place attracts some unsavory characters such as loud groups of lads who have no regard of social distancing and are just itching for a fight with anybody around them. They didnt notify for last order, so we ordered cocktails 10 mins before they closed without even knowing that they are going to close. The security guys are very rude. Just kicked us out and repeatedly asked us to finish our full glass of cocktail like now now. They even did physical force by drag my friend by his jacket to got out from the place. And one of the security was even looked drunk. Very disappointing and we will never ever come here again.

Update : Oh and btw, when we’re already outside, that drunk security raised his middle fingers to our group...

Walked in, bar staff did not even acknowledge my existence as I stood in front of them. They were looking directly into my eyes so they knew I was there. I don't know why it took 2 bar staff to make 2 of the same drink, but they could've been polite and said that they were busy and would be a minute. They finally acknowledged my presence when I suggested to my friend that we should go to the place opposite, but by then it was too late. Awful...
