How eating out should be in every way! So many good things to say, it's hard to do this place justice. Our initial enquiry (common practice in this current climate) was meant with sick a warm response, it compelled us to come in. Seated really quickly and with a really good, varied menu to cost from, we opted for the mixed shish, haloumi and prawn casserole. Every dish was very tasty, but the stand-out was the lamb shish from the mixed grill. We've eaten several mixed grills and the lamb is normally never as tender as the lamb. But this lamb was perfectly cooked, perfectly tender and full of flavour. It's hard to remember a better lamb dish in any restaurant in a long time. And every aspect of the service was outstanding. These are tough times for the restaurant trade, with huge uncertainty and sadly many will not survive. It's vital that Ottoman Kitchen doesn't become a casualty of this pandemic. A real beacon of excellence in gloomy times...

As a Turkish local I am really disappointed with how they serve the food, how small the portions are and what they serve as lahmacun. Firstly we ordered Lahmacun, which is our traditional starter even as a main course in Turkey, it was served from FROZEN. I never go to a restaurant for frozen food and they never serve frozen Lahmacun in a good quality appearing restaurant in Turkey Or UK. Don’t attempt to try it as it will misrepresent one of our best tastes. It is always served with a small side salad originally sometimes with only onion and parsley however here they served with almost rotten and dried onion with only bits of parsley as you can see in the picture. They didn’t even bother to add some fresh parsley and onion. Turkish food is not as presented as in this restaurant. Meat tasted well and I believe it was the magic of charcoal not the best effort. Mixed kebab is usually served with really mixed meats even in other Turkish restaurants in UK such as chicken wings, ribs etc. however they serve only chicken, a piece of beef kebab and lamb shish as a small portion and considering the price it is not fair compared to others serving kebabs. Anyways it is a restaurant which looks very good with decoration and in a very good location but as a Turkish person I would never ever go again. It should have been worthy of the name of their restaurant. The pictures were taken once they were served. I would like to say good things if they cared what they serve and know what they are representing. Sorry guys but you have to make us proud rather than disappointing us with our own food.

Was there on a busy Saturday night. The service was a bit slow, even to get the bread for the dips took time. Would have preferred to get the platter together with the bread and dips, but at the start it was busy so makes sense that they gave it as more of a starter than a side. We had ordered the 3-4 person platter, and when it came there was plenty to share between 4 of us. The meat was very tasty and succulent, spices were perfect! For the price and portion size it was worth it! The service was slow, even after many tables had finished and some of the waiters were standing around, they didn’t come to clear the table. After we paid the bill, one of the waitresses came to apologise for our wait, she was very apologetic and concerned that we had a bad experience. She was one of the few staff that had really took time to make sure we got our food, so I would like to thank her specifically! The place itself from the outside looked like it would have a more authentic Turkish decor, but was modern inside. I was disappointed that the DJ playing live music was just pop and quite loud. Made it feel like a Saturday night bar instead of a restaurant. I would personally have preferred some Turkish music instead. In all the food was great, but service when busy wasn’t up to par.

Firstly, I made a big mistake by ordering a Lahmacun! They are bringing frozen Lahmacun that you can order online from £4.49 for 5. This is a real shame that you just warmed up and served frozen Lahmacun imprecisely even you called yourself as ‘Ottoman Kitchen’. You guys are the face of Turkey! You should pay attention what you are cooking and how you are serving it. To be honest mixed kebab was good however “Lahmacun” is a brand food for Turkey. I could see disappointment of other customers who ordered Lahmacun as a main dish of Turkey. Come on guys your restaurant is in a very good location and well decorated please pay attention on small details, please make yourself and ourselves proud. I am sure you can force your limits and become a good Restaurant that every Turkish person would be proud to invite their friends. I will edit my review positively if you could make some adjustments what I mentioned.

The Ottoman Kitchen is a true gem for lovers of authentic cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting ambiance sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The décor beautifully reflects the rich heritage, creating a cozy and elegant atmosphere. The star of the show is undoubtedly the kababs. Each kabab is expertly prepared, with the perfect balance of spices and flavors that delight the palate. The meat is tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, showcasing the skill and passion of the chefs. Accompanied by fresh sides and sauces, every dish is a culinary masterpiece. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish. Whether you're a fan of traditional dishes or new to this type of cuisine, The Ottoman Kitchen offers something for everyone. Highly recommend for an unforgettable meal!

The Ottoman Kitchen serves wholesome meals in good quantity. It's such good value for money, maybe a bit too good. We ordered the lunch time special menu which included Warm Bread (with garlic and some spice), a starter(we chose falafel - there were 3 in each served with hummus) and a main course (we ordered chicken shish and chicken wings) which comes with rice and salad. The lunch special menu cost below £12. The proportion of food was perhaps too much for one person, and we did have to leave some food as we couldn't finish them. The food had a rustic presentation and was delicious. Despite the tasty food, it didn't go well with the decor of the place. I had expected a fine dining experience from the spiced up decor of the place. It's only that expectation did not meet reality. Otherwise it was a good experience.
