Called in here on the worst night of the year weather wise!! Rain and heavy slush was negotiated to get there. The bar staff were really welcoming and friendly. 6 real ales were available, (see photos), from far and wide. I chose the Three Acre - Extra Pale (4.5%), which, surprisingly was lovely and creamy, considering it was from way down south. I recommend a visit if you are in the area! Live sports was being showed in both the lounge and the vault and conversations and laughter could be heard around the pub. Parking is to be researched before your visit as there is non at the pub. I will definatley visit again 👍

We visited here 23rd Dec before attending the panto just down the road. Staff were extremely friendly and made our two kids feel very welcome. It was fairly busy in there but very relaxed. Good beer, decent wine, nicely furnished and a lovely Christmas vibe. Lovely old pub. Highly recommended.

A welcome addition to the 2025 Good Beer Guide. It looks as though they have their own house bitter brewed by Titanic.

Unfortunately the one dark ale that's been an option for many months appears to have gone. 🥲 The other beers are served well but all very similar types. Not sure of it's the building accoutics or the clientele but it was impossible to have a conversation on a Friday evening. I have hearing aids so all sound is amplified but my two friends who don't had the same problem. So in summary if you like light ale and don't want to chat on a busy night it's the...

Back in May we had our legal marriage ceremony at the Town Hall round the corner (ahead of our abroad wedding) and decided to nip into the Lamb for a celebratory drink! The staff were so lovely and the manager even sent over a bottle of champagne, which was so kind of them. Thank you so much, we’ll be...
