Groke St Helens — Restaurant in St Helens

THIS PLACE KNOWS EXACTLY HOW TO MAKE A DAMN GOOD BURGER LET ALONE FOOD READ ON

I've ordered from here for quite some time now but is becoming more frequent The food from here is absolutely incredible , actual real meat ,chicken or beef and my god a hell of a burger I order the GROKE burger but customise it so it has two chicken pieces with the beef patty and it's incredible ,it is with one ,but two ckn WOW And this time I tried the loaded fries for the first time and oh my god where they loaded Had them with beef and chicken ,cheese and signature sauce (The signature sauce by the way is unreal) If anyone hasn't ordered from here or the loaded fries before and the price seems a bit pricey or puts you of then please listen to me when I say they are worth every single penny. The portion size is huge,comes in a round ,like large plastic salad bowl with lid and it's filled to the extreme. The food is so so tasty, always hot and always fresh and cooked to perfection. I've ordered delivery and collection Delivery I've never had an issue with ,always early for me all the time and piping hot. Any issues call them ,if they are busy I'll go and collect ,like new years day ,they where very very busy but I had ordered delivery ,I went to collect and because I had paid delivery they gave me extras to cover the cost, it hadn't gone in noticed

Every occasion I've visited the staff are very friendly ,always smile and are approachable.

The only one tiny tiny criticism is over the last couple of weeks the beef patties have been a bit thinner than they have been ,but the last 3 visits they're back to the usual standard

You get what you pay for in life as they say. Here you pay for quality food ,very tasty food and that's exactly what you receive.

I won't go anywhere else for a burger now Trust me ,order from here and you won't be disappointed

Also ,don't order off just eat etc, download the Groke BGR app and order directly from them It has all the options to customise exactly what you want but also doesn't make the prices up,doesn't add service charges ,carrier bag bag charges and the delivery fees

It's a flat rate £3 delivery with no hidden extras

Give them a try if you haven't already ,you will not be disappointed No wonder it's called Groke

Groke = to stare at someone with a good meal in the hope that they share it with you.

ADDITION TO THE BELOW FIRST REVIEW AS I CAN POST ANOTHER I HAVE TO AGREE WITH SUZANNE BELOW MY REVIEW STANDARDS HAVE DROPPED. THIS PLACE STARTED OFF VERY VERY WELL ,FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE BUT NOW STANDARD'S ARE SLIPPING ORDERED TONIGHT 13TH OCTOBER 2024 10PM FOOD ARRIVED ON TIME CHIPS WHERE ICE COLD AND THE LAST 2 TIMES IVE ORDERED THE BEEF PATTIES ARE THINNER THAN TOILET PAPER. IF YOU DOUBT THIS LOOK AT YOUR FACEBOOK POSTS WHEN YOU STARTED ,PATTIES WHERE A LOT THICKER LITERALLY SMASHED THEM TO BEYOND THIN CALLED THE STORE AND THEYRE TELLING ME AT FIRST ILL CHECK WHO DELIVERED THE FOOD THEN IT LEFT STRAIGHT AWAY AND THEN ITS BECAUSE IT WAS THE CRINKLE FRIES FAULT AS TO WHY THEY WHERE COLD. THEN ITS BECAUSE IM FAR AWAY , GUYS IT TAKES ME FIVE MINUTES OR LESS TO DRIVE TO YOU, I WORK RIGHT BY YOUR STORE GET A GRIP AND READ MY FIRST REVIEW BELOW, THEYVE ALWAYS ARRIVED PIPING HOT. YOUR FOOD IS VERY VERY TASTY BUT IMPROVE THE STANDARDS BACK TO HOW THEY WHERE PLEASE OR FOR ME I WONT BE ORDERING AGAIN BACK TO THICKER BEEF PATTIES AND HOTTER FOOD I THOUGHT ID FOUND THE ULTIMATE BURGER PLACE AT LAST ,BUD SADLY ON LAST TWO ORDERS IT HASNT BEEN. £18 FOR THIS ORDER BY THE WAY £11 FOR THE BURGER £7 FOR A £1 CAN OF COKE SO £6 FOR COLD CHIPS !!!!!! NOT HAPPY

It won't be the last Finally a place that knows how to make a damn good burger Ordered the groke burger meal for delivery The food arrived 13 minutes earlier than stated It arrived piping hot and freshly cooked The burger was burger heaven Cooked to perfection and very very tasty Signature sauce is really nice Crinkle fries also really nice ,perfectly cooked I will definitely be ordering from here again and often I want to try every burger they make Don't leave st Helens guys, at last somewhere that knows how to cook excellent food If I could give more than 5 stars I would I highly...

Ordered from here 5 times to give it a fair chance cause a 1 off isn't really a fair review,

Appalling waiting times for deliver, If you're thinking of ordering it for dinner expect it for breakfast time tomorrow, you'll be waiting at least an hour and a half potentially two and a half hours even on quiet day, food arrives cold, the only reason the burgers warmish is cause its wrapped in foil,

The food is actually quite nice but is let down by the waiting time, When you go about chasing it up by calling the restaurant you're told the usual speal "Its busy we're sorry" which is hard to believe on 5 different occasions, No point of even looking at Uber eats tracker cause they don't update...
