Basmati Stafford — Restaurant in Stafford

Absolutely awful. So ordered the Special mix Jalfrezi sizzler, the waiter didn't have a clue, couldn't speak English, the wife pointed it out on the menu as the sizzler which she has had for over 25 years being one of the first customers on their first night..... out comes a dish completely different.... not even contained the ingredients mentioned... she went out of her way with the new staff to make sure they understood but no.. so only ordering two curries, no poppadoms, no starters, it took over 45 minutes. In that time there were two ladies on puddings and only one take away. The chicken madras come out flooded with oil... the chicken was clearly old tasted awful, the rice was clearly from days ago and microwaved lumps and even sone of the lumps looked like it was corners of a take away cartoon. Guys... this dreadful and not one person of staff for an empty restaurant with three of you on service didn't even come and ask if it was okay.. left over 50% of meal,...

Bit of a hit and miss meal I'm sorry to say. The meal was delivered late which I totally understand, it happens. An apology would have been polite however, instead I was abruptly informed that the driver had left the restaurant and was on his way. The phone was then put down before I had a chance to thank him for the information. The Chicken tikka balti was disappointing, really lacked spice. The vegetable korma was quite pleasant although it had far too many potatoes in it for my liking. The chips had no salt and were tasteless. Nishads is the most consistent for service and food. Only docked a star as an item missing from delivery order, however it was resolved quickly by restaurant. Given option to have it delivered or refund. Opted for delivery and it came super speedy. Onion bhaji delicious, not greasy and good portion. Chicken and spinach balti very tasty and as requested (medium spicy). Big enough for two to share or one really big serving! Naan bread good size.
