Pre-Ordering Promise Falls Flat at La Casa
My recent experience at La Casa on 1st December fell dramatically short of our expectations. The promise of a seamless pre-ordered dining encounter quickly unraveled into an evening fraught with frustration and disappointment.
Inconsistencies in service, delayed refreshments, and prolonged payment processing punctured the anticipated vibrancy of our group dinner. The promised efficiency of pre-ordering was diminished by scattered meal deliveries that eroded the ambiance of what should have been a festiveshared dining experience. Some of us watched our food go cold while others in our party were left waiting, questioning whether their meals had been forgotten.
Thirst prevailed as our drinks meandered slowly to our table, well behind the service experienced by others around us. And to culminate an already disheartened experience, what should have been a swift settlement of our pre-calculated bill extended into an egregious 45-minute ordeal.
The lapses in service are troubling on their own; however, more concerning is the bewildering silence in response to the concerns we raised directly to La Casa management. This lack of acknowledgement compounds the frustration and deters us from making any repeat reservations or recommendations of La Casa to fellow diners.
Regrettably, this service highlights a glaring discrepancy between La Casa's assurances of a streamlined pre-ordering system and the reality that unfurled.
Reviewers I would suggest that potential patrons consider other options where their expectations in dining efficiency and service will...

i am visiting from chester, so nearly a 2 hour drive for a horrendous 2 hour experience in your restaurant.
booked a table for 7:30pm, there were 4 of us at the table and about 45 people in the restaurant at the time. so nothing over the top.
we had our food order and drink order taken quickly, which was the only good service we were given. our drinks arrived, then our garlic bread pizza to share. our drinks then sat empty for 60 minutes before we had another, and we only had another because we had to ask, which was difficult as there were so many staff but avoided any chance to interact with us.
finally after the 1h30 wait for the main meals, which we were missing a side order of chips, my food was also cold. however, no staff checked back on us to ask how the food was. we were never offered an apology for the long wait, or more drinks whilst we were waiting. no initiative or common sense from the staff or the managers.
after our food, we weren’t offered desserts, more drinks or even the bill. we were ignored, we seemed invisible.
got given the excuse of “we have new staff and 2 chefs called in sick”, as a manager in a restaurant myself this is a cheap excuse. the team should be able to pull together and serve the 45 customers, as there was 15 staff visible to the customers.
thank god the manager took the chips off the bill as an apology to make things right! we didn’t even receive them!
total lack of service, terrible food, worse...
Read morebooked a table at 5:30 for my birthday meal, prior to go to the theatre; when my partner booked, he told them we had to be gone 7 pm latest as we were going to the theatre; he mentioned it was my birthday. We went last night arriving at 5:25 and I’ll order was promptly taken. About 15 minutes later they came and said there was a small delay because they had a couple of other Tables of six or eight people, although the place was nowhere near it wasn’t Even half full. They brought complimentary bread and olives. We waited until 635 (So waited over an hour) But then Decided that we really didn’t want to have to wolf down my birthday meal in the space of 20 minutes. I have never worked in a restaurant personally, but logic would dictate to me that you don’t book all the tables to arrive at the same time! This isn’t a one off, has the very same thing happened to us last time we went, although that kind of critical as we weren’t going to the theatre afterward. So last night we literally had to go hungry without a meal, which really isn’t on when you have booked the table weeks ago. When we walked past about 10 o’clock last night, the place was empty, so perhaps is the reason why who knows. Absolutely not willing to risk again, Don’t want to starve, On my birthday or...
