We visited The Blue Mugge yesterday during my trip to the peak district. We were welcomed by the lovely staff, they were very friendly and welcoming. The pub requires pre-booking which I wasn't aware of as they are quite busy everyday. Despite the fact we didn't have a booking the staff managed to get us a table after some time. The pub had a selection of dishes which was hard to choose. I was amazed at the fact that they had a vegan/vegetarian menu also. The food was delicious, I would highly recommend to pop in for a drink or food in a lovely atmosphere â˜ș

Great, super family run pub, I took a group of 40 from burton here last Saturday, was made very welcome, ordered oatcakes which were lovely. A must go to pub in leek, food is also very good, but you'll need to book a table well In advance.

Cute pub. Lots of lovely little cubby holes. We sat in the Winston Churchill area which was interesting.. Overall, great prices, vibe and people. To me that means quality.

Excellent service. Excellent beer kept in a traditional cellar at the correct temperature. A friendly welcome too for my dog: Daisy Who is always greeted with much affection. I'm so jealous. Try this pub if you like good ale, good food and all served with a friendly welcome. The owners & staff continue to provide a warm welcome to all customers. They are a credit to the community & their excellent food is always in high demand. Book early for next Xmas as this one (2022) is fully booked already. You might get a walk-in service....if you are lucky! Well worth the effort though, so try your luck soon. For a demonstration of expertise in customer service, visit The Blue Mugge. Yet another good example of their caring nature displayed last night (10/05/23). When staff were preparing to organise a search party for a woman who had wandered off-site: two large Merlot and no food = loss of dignity! Also loss of ability to understand simple instructions like 'Stay here while I...

Visited here as we popped into leek for another reason. Searched on Google for pubs in the area and it had great reviews. Was not disappointed, the ale was spot on and I had the best beartown creme bearlee since having a delivery to my home during lockdown, showing this pub clearly knows how to look after their beer. Ordered some food too as the menu on arrival was very appetising and great value for money. Again wasn't disappointed great home made tasty food. The staff are also very efficient and the welcome we got on arrival from the gentleman behind the bar ( the landlord I presumed ) was friendly and courteous. I would recommend this pub as it was a gem of a find and wish there were more pubs like this around. A...

Food is brilliant and a great price Nothing to much trouble for the staff The landlord is Paul aka H or Harry He has a great sense of humour and likes banter with the locals and folk passing through I recommend you try early doors at 6pm The pub banter is so funny The kitchen at the blue mugge With a excellent selection If you leave the pub hungry then it's your own fault.
