Nicely located in the center with a very beautiful street entry. The atmosphere inside is quite nice, I visited while on vacation with friends, and the ambiance was soothing with friendly staff members. With food we had a mixed reaction, most of the items were in average to good basket, except for the Flame Grilled Chicken. It had a very weird taste and gave the impression the grill has not been cleaned for a while, and you can taste the fish which might have been grilled before the chicken. Apart from this, everything else was nice, we stayed a bit late than expected but the staffs were very welcoming, and didn’t pressured us to leave as the closing time was approaching. We did left on time, but there were still 2 tables still filled with people, but the staffs greeted everyone with a smile, which makes you feel come back to the place again.

3 friends and I take it in turn to visit a venue in Staffordshire . I had booked a table for 4 at another venue just outside Leek but they were shut and had omitted to let me know. So, we ended up at Leek bar and grill by chance . The place was busy, but they were able to accommodate us, if we were willing to wait for a bit, which we were . There is a variety of cold/ hot starters, and the choice of mains is broad enough for everyone to find something they will enjoy. Despite the fact that the place was busy , which is always a good sign, service was prompt and we were well looked after. There was a good atmosphere and all of us enjoyed our dishes . The food is well presented, the portions big enough. I would not hesitate to recommend / go back to this place next time I am in Leek.

Great spot serving delicious mediterranean grub. We happened across the Leek bar and Grill on a very wet Wednesday in October. The entrance is via a quaint covered lane which shields it from the worst of the weather. I would probably remove the word bar from the title, I would not go here just to drink as it's basically a restaurant with set tables and service. The food was epic, and the server took time to explain the dishes. We went for a sharing platter to start with grilled halloumi, spicy chicken rolls, falafel and hummus. All delicious, the haloumi is the pick of the bunch!!! For mains we had chicken, meat balls and falafel, again all were spot on. Service was good, very happy with our visit 👍👍

On arrival a couple who arrived after were seated before me. I chose a table which hadn’t yet been cleaned from the previous guest. No problem I thought, I’m sure it will get wiped down when the menus are brought over. I waited and no menus were forthcoming, so I dutifully walked over to the serving area to ask if it was table service, thinking maybe I’d got it wrong and needed to order from the bar. Meanwhile the couple who were skipped ahead are now enjoying drinks. I now have menus, but still sat at a dirty table. I finally order and the drink, then food arrives. The plate is placed down on the still-dirty table. The plate itself is covered in dirty fingermarks all around the edge from other meals by the looks of it. Not wanting to make a fuss, but being put off eating, I ask for a clean plate. The waitress brings this out and I need to then ask for replacement cutlery as mine was cleared with the dirty plate and it wasn’t noticed without my drawing attention. Cutlery arrives in the waitresses’ hands, no serving tray or plate. The food was inedible. The chip oil needed a good change and the wrap had an overpowering amount of curry powder. I sat looking at my half unfinished food for a while with no further service until I eventually went to the bar area to explain the situation. They did knock the food off the bill after some too-ing and fro-ing, but I was left feeling embarrassed at having to go up to sort this out. What should have been a relaxing afternoon treat ended up far from it. Shame because the surroundings could be quite nice if cleaned. The front of house staff need further training and the kitchen needs to up the attention to detail. I wouldn’t rush...

When we arrived, the venue looked nice and clean, but once service started, things went downhill.

When our plates for starters were brought out, some were dirty and chipped, not noticed by staff, so we asked for them to be changed out.

Then our starters arrived, and we ordered the sharing platters (meant for 2 people). There was 1 calamari ring, 1 slice of Turkish sausage, etc, and not enough for 2 people at all.

Mains came out and were alright. My burger was chewy, but I was so hungry after the starters lacking that I dealt with it. My daughter had the cheese and ham panini, which was just bland and boring for the price.

We ordered a 2nd round of drinks for some of our group, which took approximately 20 minutes, to which we learnt hadn't even been started when we chased them after 15 minutes (and no it wasn't busy).

Then we decided we might as well have dessert. We placed our order and then the waitress came back and said they'd run out of a few things within the 2 minutes since we ordered (it happens, we know, but what a series of disappointments).

They genuinely didn't seem to notice or maybe even didn't care that a table of 8 were all unhappy and disappointed, which we made obvious.

There was no point in complaining, as it was quite clear that providing good customer service was not their priority.

We won't be returning, nor would we...

Do not eat here! I was really looking forward to eating here as the menu looks really good...me & my missus ate here tonight and i ordered the mixed grill which states u get a lamb fillet which was nowhere to be seen the lamb cutlet was a thin cheap piece & the meatballs was an actual dry lamb burger according to the waiter (may i please add tho that the service of the young waiter was very good and he seemed to be interested in my opinions to pass onto the chef) when the manageress came over to take payment it took her an age to ask if everything was ok as she would have known we complained! When i explained how poor the mixed grill was and said how the chips had a strong fish taste her reply shocked me! Stating that they dont serve fish so that was not possible!!! So i ask what is whitebait? What is Calamari? What is the actual fish section on the menu?! All i can say is its a good job i tasted the chips first as my missus is actually allergic to fish! It was clear that the chips had been deep fried in the same oil as the calamari or whitebait! Rather than apologise the waitress decided to argue & insult my intelligence! I love eating out & never leave reviews if i have a bad experience but was left so upset & angry that i feel like i had to share this awful experience! Please if ure thinking of eating here...
