Have had problems with this prezzo now for the second time. Initially in the half term we went there and they could not provide a table for us and told us it would be an hour wait to be seated due to staffing shortage. So we foxtrot oscared to F&B's. On this occasion it seemed pretty empty but we then waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken and then another 20 minutes to get out drinks. It took me complaining to the staff for them to sort out our meal and at this point we had to repeat our order. There appeared to be a manager of some sort who was sat down in uniform just watching the staff run around like blue arse flies not offering any help and just watching customer after customer complain about the service. We got our food for free which was the only positive but it ruined the experience of a nice family meal. I won't be going back here, tesco vouchers or not. No real customer service although the food was OK. Just a massive disappointment.

I've called in previously, and the service wasn't great, but I put down to being just after the lockdown. However, on this occasion, the restaurant was almost empty with only 6 tables occupied. When I entered and was approached by the male waiter, the first thing he mentioned was it was card only no cash, and then if I had any allergies. I was shown to my seat. A booth facing a wall of tealights and not into the main restaurant. I ordered my drink and food and after a short time both arrived, food before my drink. Not once did anyone ask if everything was OK despite the till being behind my table. When I finished the waiter came over and collected my plate and glass and left. The food was average. I've had far better pizzas. It was dry, lacking flavour. The service was dreadful, and being placed as a single diner facing the wall made me feel like my patronage was a burden.

The food was bad, in small portions and expensive. Went last night here as the next door Italian place was packed and with 1h waiting list. This place had 10 tables with people, 2 were birthdays and 3 were people that came with us from next door, but still had to wait 10 min for our order to be taken with 4 waiters in the room. Little did we knew why at the time. The starters were bigger in the children's menu deal and the fried mozzarella passed the mark of ok food. My main was child size and had a strand of hair on the side of the plate...My little ones weren't satisfied with a menu that in theory was for 5-13 and mine are 1.5 and 4. Would certainly not recommend.

Never had a problem before, everything's always been spot on but the last 2 times haven't been great. Went out last night 10th Aug as a early birthday meal for myself with me partner and 2 children. Waiter came over very abruptly like we needed to know our drink order within 30 seconds, but explained to her I had some QR codes one being kids eat free- to be told they wont work shes new and only been here a week. Not sure what her being there a week has to do with anything? 10 minutes later get our startes, alls well. Next mains, all got our foo bar one of my daughters who had to wait 5 more minutes for her pizza, with no apology. I started to eat mine - stone cold, called our waiter over to tell her she took it back then proceeded to say chicken and bacon three times like that was the dish I had, no pea and goats cheese pasta. 10/15 minutes go by my food finally comes, again no apology. My family had already finished there meals so I was sat there eating alone, for a family meal we all intended to enjoy together. Not one check in to ask if anything was ok the whole entire time either. Asked if we wanted dessert, we said said got given the dessert menu but we already knew what we was going to have, waiting 10 minutes, our server had completely vanished no where to be seen, at this point we had given up even wanting dessert as it was just pointless waiting an extra potentially 45 more minutes. Asked a gentleman for the bill, waiting a further 10 minutes for that, I had the kids eat free code, free birthday bottle of wine or prosecco and free £10 off which states can be used with other discounts. Free bottle of drink wasnt working apparently and neither was the kids eat free, stating you can't use all the codes together. I always read all terms and conditions when using discounts etc and it gives me severe anxiety incase they dont work. Anyway the bottle of wine ended up working and the £10 off. Kids eat free didn't. Which seems useless as we paid for 2 adult meals, IF you can't use kids eat free with certain other codes it really needs to be stated and worded better and pinned correctly somewhere if thats the case.

Overall, it was a pretty crap visit in all honestly, I used to about LOVE going to prezzo but ill take a big...

From the moment we walked into Prezzo in Stevenage, we were met with a warm and lively atmosphere that immediately set a positive tone for the evening. The restaurant felt vibrant and welcoming, full of energy yet still comfortable enough to relax and enjoy the occasion. We were seated straight away without any delay, which gave us a lovely first impression of how well the team looks after their guests.

Our evening was made all the more enjoyable thanks to Michael, who greeted us with a bright and genuine smile that made us feel instantly at ease. Throughout the night his service was attentive, professional and friendly in a way that felt both natural and effortless. From answering questions about the menu to offering thoughtful recommendations, he struck that rare balance of being present and helpful without ever feeling overbearing.

When it came to ordering, Michael recommended the Rigatoni as a main course, and it turned out to be absolutely outstanding. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce was rich and full of flavour, and the portion size was generous without being overwhelming. It was one of those dishes that leaves you truly satisfied and glad that you trusted the recommendation.

Dessert brought something unexpected and memorable. With a playful sense of humour, Michael suggested we play the rock, paper, scissors challenge, which added a lighthearted and personal touch to the experience. What could have been an ordinary choice of dessert became a moment of fun and laughter that we will remember far longer than the meal itself. I must insist that I did not lose three times in a row, no matter what anyone else says, but either way the memory is priceless.

All throughout our visit, Michael demonstrated what excellent service can add to an evening. His warmth, attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm elevated the entire dining experience, turning it from a simple meal into a thoroughly enjoyable night out. It is rare to come across a member of staff who makes such a lasting impression, and for that I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to him.

Overall, Prezzo in Stevenage provided us with a fantastic evening filled with delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere and service that went far beyond...

I have visited this restaurant chain in the past, but this particular restaurant will be unlikely to get a visit again. We arrived as a group of 8 at 7PM and ordered straight away. Our drinks orders were first but did not arrive for half hour. 3 members of our party ordered starters and it took an hour for their arrival and our mains another 40 minutes. Some of the food orders were missing items and one party member has allergies so ordered a gluten free pasta. From our seating arrangement we could clearly see the bar and kitchen area, aswell as the bins which were overflowing. The gluten free pasta was cooked in a microwave and then chucked into a wok. It lacked flavour on arrival and had a minimum amount of sauce and rubbery vegetables, so she had a couple mouthfuls and ate nothing else the rest of the night. Everyone else ordered dessert and coffees after the mains were done, but they too took a while to arrive and some were missing. When pointed out to a staff member, they then apologised and said they'd bring them over but they never arrived. Instead we watched the waiters all hanging out by the bar chatting and flirting with a blonde staff member and all hugging eachother between serving dishes to customers and laughing between themselves. Hardly professional. In the end we left after complaining politely about the experience and were offered a very small discount but it was a lot of money to pay for such bad service.

I personally will not ever be going here again. I cannot speak for the other people who attended that night, maybe it will be easier for staff to deal with if they go in couples rather than a large group. I hope this restaurant can brush up on their serving skills, cleanliness and cooking where allergies are concerned. Such a disappointment as the old town Prezzo was...
