Battambang — Restaurant in Stockport

Horrible experience thanks to the horrible and condescending attitude of the waitress who served us. My partner and I ordered 2 vegan burgers and fries. We were promised to be given vegan mayo and ketchup but were brought non-vegan mayo by accident. My partner went to the bar to ask if they could get us vegan mayo instead. The guy at the bar was nice and polite but a waitress with long dark brown hair decided to make an annoyed face at my partner, interrupt the conversation and say that they don't have vegan mayo. The guy from the bar asked to check and turns out they do have it. However, instead of bringing us a bottle (like they did with the non-vegan version), she brought us a tiny pot, even though we were two people- apparently it's too much to even expect a pot for each person? Either this waitress hates vegans, or she doesn't want to accommodate even the tiniest request. It is also not a good look to be so cheap that you can't even give each guest a tiny pot of sauce when we're each paying for a main course. Needless to say, because of this attitude, we won't be coming back or recommending this place to other vegans. Please train your staff to at least not make annoyed faces...

Dined here for the first time today with my partner, and it was a fantastic experience! We were warmly greeted upon arrival, shown to a table immediately, and had water brought to us within 20 seconds—without even asking! The hosts were incredibly friendly and inviting.

The service was outstanding from start to finish. Our order was taken within a few minutes, so there was no waiting around.

Although we weren’t very hungry, the menu was so enticing that we decided to try a few side dishes. The truffle fries were a solid 10/10, the halloumi fries were equally exceptional, and the cauliflower wings were absolutely to die for. We were initially torn between the regular chicken wings and the cauliflower wings, but the host encouraged us to take the plunge—and wow, we’re so glad we did. Do yourself a favor and try those cauliflower wings!

We were in and out in under an hour, with full bellies and big smiles on the drive home. This place deserves more reviews, and I can’t wait to visit again. Highly...

We are very lucky to have such a great new spot in the area! After two visits we are sure this is going to become a firm favourite for us.

Really like the style of the menu which allows you the flexibility to order smaller plates to share together, or in a more traditional starter/main format. There is a lot to choose from, without feeling overwhelmed, and we are looking forward to trying new things on each visit.

The service and staff were very friendly, efficient, and thoughtful - we felt very well looked after.

The food was exceptional – with an exciting menu, it took a while to chose what we wanted. Lovely and exciting dishes that we hadn’t tried before, and they did not disappoint when they arrive.

We will definitely be recommending and coming back again to try the rest of the menu!
