Would rate 4.5 if could, but we had a very good experience. We were served by Jamie and lucky we had booked as walk ins were being turned away. We had wanted to go to a Miller and Carter but due to prices could never justify as always something more important. We used to go this venue when it was a Toby Carvery. Due to governments eat to help offer we decided to try as we had missed our 25th wedding anniversary and holiday due to Covid. Jamie was very polite and as we hadn’t been before he took the time to explain how it all works when ordering steaks at a Miller and Carter. We had the Garlic Bread as nibbles which we thought the starters would come after but they all came as one! The garlic bread was very soft and a large portion, garlic was a little light for my liking but it was tasty. As starters my wife ordered scallops and myself the mini Yorkshire puddings. The beef dripping sauce is actually a very rich light gravy which was very tasty. I had a rib eye which was cooked perfectly and tasted quality, it said seasoned fries but they were just straight fries (I couldn’t see or taste the seasoning). The lettuce wedge was literally a quarter iceberg lettuce, it had my a little worried at first as because it was as a lettuce comes, I didn’t know if it had been washed. However no bugs or nothing inside, which was good. My wife had the butchers boy burger which was way too big to eat as a burger so she ate it with a knife and fork. She had a Mac and cheese side which was very fresh and can with cheese still sizzling on top in a little pan! No room whatsoever for the dessert but hopefully we can go again before the offer finishes and have a try then.

Sunday lunch at Miller and Carter for a birthday meal. One of the reasons we like to go to this M and C is because of the ample car park there are enough spaces and you park for free. The restaurant is lovely and clean and staff were accommodating of our ever increasing party size. Most of the party or ordered from the set menu which was at a cost of £30.95. I had the rump steak and it was delicious very filling and I paired that with sweet potato fries for an extra £1 supplement. Everyone’s steak was cooked to perfection and as they had ordered… In addition the food came out nice and hot and was throughly enjoyable to eat. With the set menu, you get a choice of a starter which was salt and pepper calamari the main which was the rump steak this comes with onion loaf and sweet potato fries and for dessert profiteroles. Before the steak comes out you get a lettuce bowl with a choice of dressing I went for the ranch and croutons. For drinks I went for the virgin mojito which was nice. They no longer serve brownies which the manager explained was due to a supply issue this was disappointing as this was replaced with chocolate profiteroles instead. One person in the party did manage to get a dessert off the main menu in exchange for no brownies Other than that the service was good. We had a great time here and I will be back to try another steak option from Miller and Carter again.

We have been to this Miiler & Carter on several occasions and always enjoyed the food and service. Today, we tried their new Sunday sharing platter ( please note the picture was taken before the creamy mash potatoes with camerbert and roast potatoes came ). The platter came with a large sirloin steak, cooked medium and to perfection. Beautiful rump fillet of lamb and a generous amount of chicken, cooked greens in garlic butter, and endless beef dripping gravy. All for a fabulous price of £66 a platter. It was absolutely beautiful, one of the best Sunday dinners we've had in a long time. We will definitely be coming back again. Even the dogs got lucky with the extra meats we took home as we're defeated. Hats off to Miller & Carter .. I think this option on the menu is most definitely needed 👌👌 A big to William who looked after our table delivering excellent service 👏👏

I liked the ambiance and the general setting. I give the food a 4 rating because I ordered a medium done sirloin. It was not evenly cooked and parts of it was rear. Which I cannot eat rear it was too pink and runny. I generally order well done. My friend ordered a cocktail with strawberry stating I am allergic to strawberry. Drink came it had a strawberry in it. That made things awkward. I would recommend the buffalo wings. And the mushroom starters. I felt there was noo much bread and rhe sticks were rather dry and there was no butter served with it. We asked for a balsamic vinegar and was given an ordinary vinegarette. I recommend the double chocolate brownie very nice and the cream. 3 good size scooped serve

For my birthday we decided to choose this restaurant and we certainly wasn't disappointed. From entering to leaving it was just brilliant. Our server was called Jaimy, he is so cooperative, welcoming, friendly and funny an absolute credit to M&C. We went for the 3 steaks, Lamb and couple of starters which was cooked to perfection. Kids menu was also very tasty, funny though we did grad some bite from the kids fries which was one of the best I had till now. We had a couple of drinks cocktails to finish, when we go out, we certainly like to spend. A massive thanks to all the staff, A great team doing a great job together to help customers have a nice evening. We will definitely be back.

Went here on a whim, but so glad I did. It was a pretty quiet Wednesday (early) evening, so no need to book. We were seated immediately and our order was taken (and came out) pretty quickly. What I like about this place is that the steaks come with a number of accompaniments, such as chips, sauces, a lovely salad and an onion loaf (which is fab). I hate when (at other steak houses) you have to buy everything like this in addition to the steak. There's plenty of food without the need for starters or additional sides. The food was fantastic and the steaks generously sized and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended.
