Restaurant was too cold Food wasn't nice. Service wasn't the best. Ordered tea for three people, charged for three and it came late after the food. well i had to go and ask for it, again after tiny tea pot was empty, I had to go ask for it again. It was literally two table. Us and one other couple table. Pricy for not authentic food. I wouldn't even blame if it's still good even though it might not be authentic but it's rubbish for normal asian. Soup was bad. Soup and Mapo tofu tasted the same. Mapo tofu was the worst I have had. Take away even might be better than that. Asparagus stirred fry was little asparagus and mainly mangetout and onions. Also asparagus were hard, more like roots than tips. Chicken had too much pepper and again it's the most okay ish out of all. seafood fried rice had tiny small frozen quality shrimps and that's all. Same for vermicelli. Taste wasn't great either. Steamed plain rice was the most okay, still a bit hard. I don't know why it even has 4.3. They didn't do a table check at all. Only when i asked for more hot water refill for tea (way after mid way of eating) they quickly asked if everything was okay for the sake of it... Toilet wasn't the cleanest. Also charged service charges for minimum service they provided. Pricy and small portion of bad taste food. Go to Manchester or Poyton for Tom Yum Thai food for Asian. Not worth it if you are looking for authentic food.

This is definitely the best restaurant experience in Hazel Grove. The landlady, manager Jenny even part time Doris and other staff all gave us the best service. I chose here to celebrate my husband’s birthday with all the family members and we really had a great time. They even surprised us preparing the birthday balloon and birthday glasses for my husband. Not only the food were brilliant but also the price was super reasonable. The funny thing was there were 4 different tables celebrating birthday at the same night so that the birthday music and claps were nearly all night along☺️ My husband really enjoyed having his birthday dinner here and felt very welcomed. Thank you very much, Peking Garden.🌹

Excellent food and very accommodating hosts. I reserved a table for 10 people, but 14 actually turned up on the day. The staff provided us with an extra table without any fuss. The food was superb and well presented. I would recommend the prawn toast, which is the best I've ever tasted. In fact, everything on the menu was delicious. The draught beer is Cobra, which always goes down well, and you can also buy bottles of Tsing-Tao.The atmosphere is lively, and you are well looked after by your hosts. Although Peking Gardens are fairly expensive, it is well worth a visit as the food is of such good quality.. Out of 14 people, there was not one complaint. I will be going again in the future.

Unfriendly/unwelcoming/slow discusting service/restaurant v cold . Arrived to be sternly asked " can I help you" I said yes table for 3 pls restaurant empty but I got told to wait for table to be prepared by sitting in takeaway part - which was freezing cold . Then was offered drinks in the takeaway part ! And brought prawn crackers . I thought I was taking root sat in takeaway part. Was taken to table whereby we then struggled to place an order for drinks and food ( waitress ignoring us) . Service was rude abrupt and very slow (this was last night in the new premises April 2016) . Was brought wrong mains dishes chicken not beef as ordered ... They took away mains and left sides to go cold. Finally beef came back but sides cold they reluctantly made new egg fried rice. I asked for fresh soft noodles but they refused and said the best they can do is microwave them !! ( any decent place upon serving wrong main would and should remove all sides and make again fresh and hot) . We were brought wrong drinks too. Didn't feel welcome it wasn't service with a smile. The cherry on the cake was after the tinned fruit they served at the end ( tinned?!) an ant walked across the table much to the amusement of my 5 year old son! The food was tasty but I cannot go back after the discusting service and...

This restaurant used to be a firm weekly favourite for us many years ago, offering fantastic food worthy of travelling for. In an attempt to relive the past, we decided to revisit the now called Peking Palace (formally Summer Palace) for dinner. Alas like so many eateries of today, what a total disappointment. The service was ok however, apart from an inexperienced English girl attempting badly to shred our crispy duck, leaving a plate full of broken mashed bones mixed in with the duck for us to dissect. However, what is far more import which I’m I must share with others, is being fleeced for nearly £100 of hard earned money, for a modest (not indulgent) 2 people dinner, being served nothing short of poor tasteless quality food cooked to a standard on par with a takeaway, but seated. However that privilege wasn’t for free as we were charged a service charge for bringing the food to the table (although it states the service charge was optional, but nevertheless was added to the total bill. Sadly, with the best hopes, we will not be returning to this restaurant in the future and certainly avoid feeling completely ripped off for such an unremarkable meal out that we wished we hadn’t eaten...
