Walkers Retreat — Restaurant in Stockport

Dawn and her team did a fabulous job helping us celebrate two birthdays today! She was helpful and informative from the moment we booked in, today was absolutely perfect. They went above and beyond setting the room up and decorating for the birthdays. We were offered a private function due to there being 16 of us, and the afternoon tea was fresh and delicious, and Dawn and her team couldn’t have been more friendly and hospitable. We all really felt at home and left well fed and watered (with doggy bags too!). Dawn took time to speak to us all individually, and explaining what she’d made to the people with dietary requests, and made time to speak with the children too which was just lovely. A special shout out to the warm apple crumble with custard, a welcome spin to the afternoon tea, absolutely gorgeous! Can’t wait to pop in again with my little girl for a coffee and more cake. This place is lovely , my friend and I meet up about once a month and this is becoming our go to for a morning coffee and small bite to eat. It's clean and tidy and plenty of space to get between tables. The staff are all very pleasant and don't leave you hanging about for drinks and soon after comes the food. The poached eggs on toast was done to perfection and the iced coffee was lovely , my friend enjoyed her cheese crumpets too. Lovely place to go for a chat...

This place was an absolute delight to visit, so so pretty. The ambience was a real treat indeed. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent 👌 unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to try the food on this occasion, but what I saw looked delicious 😋.
