It pains me to write this because I have previously been the biggest fan of this Buddha Express but my experience this time was shocking. We ordered our usual and everything just tasted wrong, even basic things like a tofu and veggie chow mein was so bland when it was previously really tasty. The crispy chilli beef was so sour when it’s normally sweet, spicy and delicious. The salt and pepper squid was bland and the batter was very thick so it wasn’t nice at all, so disappointing. The only things I couldn’t fault were the prawn crackers, seaweed and the prawn toast. Such a shame as the owners seem so lovely and I never want to write anything bad about someone’s business but I regrettably won’t be returning after this experience, £50 down the drain and we barely...

I have previously proclaimed Buddha Express to be the best takeaway in the Heatons, even the manchester area. Every single meal was a treat, I have had very very few issues over the past years since it opened - all of which resolved. This did warrant a 5 star review. However, after the new menu and new ownership this place has fallen from this spot. I will unfortunately never order from here again. Solid choices on the menu have been changed and ruined, less flavour, less food per portion, higher prices, lower quality ingredients. Extremely dissatisfied. We ordered and payed last night and then received nothing. When we called to find out where the order was up to, we were told they had received no payment (we checked and our payment had gone through). We then received an email this morning saying the order was finally confirmed and “on its way”. We still have received nothing as of yet and if the order does turn up it will be nearly 24 hours late. Be cautious when paying through the website as there is clearly a fault somewhere when it comes...
