Broadway Fish Bar — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

Easily the best chippy I have ever been too. For my meal. The fried chicken meal with a portion of gravy was more than I could manage and by far the best fried chicken I have had. That includes the KFC a few doors down.

The gravy was exactly how I like it slightly thicker and full of flavour so clearly not a cheap packet job.

The only negative was the halloumi burger my wife had. Was nice enough however it seemed to lack some flavour. We are used to grilled halloumi so that may have been a factor but I personally think this might be improved by frying the halloumi on a grill to really keep that squeeky cheese flavour that we love... Was just our personal opinion though and the rest of our food was absolutely perfect.

The fires is the only thing that's worth it but anything else is crime, how could I pay £4.20 for 1 piece chicken and chips with donner meat, only to get the doner reduced and when I asked why the employer said "that's how it is boss" so I told him to make another one but this time buying attention to how much doner his putting in and was shocked to find out that he only put 2 slices and checked with his superior only for him to agree aswell. WORST PLACE EVER, THEY BASICALLY ROB...

Little bit disapointed this time around. Usally fab always plenty but was not happy with portion size. Had 2 ask if there was fresh chips as chips were not the best. I was told there wasn't any at 1st but then was told they would be a few mins after the 1st lot of food was done. I ended up waiting which wasn't a problem becuase I would not of eaten the 1st lot. Small portion sizes compared 2 normal. Not all that impressed this...
