Friendly Get-Together (13 people)
Myself and a group of about 13 of my friends recently went here for a friendly get-together to catch up with each other as it had been a while since we could all get together and have a chat.
Food: the food was excellent. 5-stars, and I heard many of my friends echo this comment. Between us we had a good mixture of food and all was enjoyed. The experience even changed one person's views on Indian food! Which I think says a lot for the place.
Service: Service was just to match, a very high standard of hospitality. The staff were happy for us to create different tabs for our different groups (one person paying or a couple paying) which was really, really appreciated by all. It made things so easy for us. Thank you! I also asked if the music could be turned down a bit as one friend couldn't quite hear the conversation to which a staff member happily obliged. The staff were warm and welcoming through-out the evening.
Setting: We were kindly offered a private room downstairs which was ever-so cosy! It was really cosily decorated with flowers and really added to the atmosphere of our social. Everything clean and comfortable, good privacy, lots of space.
Overall: My friends and I will be going here again. I know some of the couples said they would be coming along by themselves for a meal. It won't be long until my friends and I are back and we think we'll try the buffet next time! Can't wait!
Thank...

We visited Mirchi Restaurant for a family lunch, and the experience was nothing short of amazing! The clean, cosy interiors gave off a beautiful Indian ambience, instantly reminding us of the vibrant culture and warmth of India.
Kishore and Vijay, along with their fantastic staff, were incredibly friendly and attentive. They truly go the extra mile to make sure you’re comfortable and enjoying every moment.
The starters were absolutely mouth-watering: Paneer 65 – cubes of Indian cottage cheese, marinated in spices, deep-fried, and tossed with curry leaves and chillies – full of flavour and crunch Ghee Podi Idli – soft Indian rice cubes tossed in aromatic spice mix Gun Powder Gobi – crispy cauliflower with chef’s special homemade masala
The service was quick, personal, and warm – exactly what you’d hope for in a family restaurant.
For mains, we enjoyed: 🍛 Paneer Butter Masala – rich, creamy, and packed with flavour 🥔 Aloo Gobi – perfectly tempered and beautifully cooked 🥖 We had Butter Roti, which was so soft and tender, and paired beautifully with both curries – a real comfort combo!
And to end on a high note: 🍨 Warm Gajar Halwa (Carrot Pudding) with Pistachio Ice Cream – a perfect blend of comfort and indulgence!
If you’re in Stoke-on-Trent, Mirchi Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes from their...
Read moreBeware of the spice! Would not recommend if you can only tolerate mild curries! I ordered what should have been a mild takeaway as requested in my order notes but unfortunately everything came way too spicy and I was unable to eat any of it - including a korma and mango chutney which was also super vinegary! The speed in which it left the restaurant was way too quick for it to have been made fresh which only leads me to believe that my request was ignored and I just received the standard recipes for everything. I called and asked if I could bring it back for a refund as I had spent close to £30 in total but kept being told that there were no drivers available for this (even though I was offering to take it back myself so that wasn't an issue) and that the manager was away for a few days so that a refund would not be possible - I got the feeling after a while that it was all just an excuse for them to not give me my money back. They offered to make it again but I didn't see the sense in taking another chance as I had already requested for it to be mild the first time so why would it be any different? If a refund had been processed as requested, I would not have felt the need to be leaving a negative review. Unfortunately my money was wasted and what should have been a nice treat turned out to be a disappointing nightmare. Will not go back and would not recommend if you like mildly...
