Very good selection of savoury items like samosas, patties, etc. with authentic 'desi'-ish taste. The sweets, too, are nice and quite a wide range available. The Rasmalai is awesome and be must try that, and even better if taken away to be enjoyed at home. It's also one of the very few places that have Indian-style pastries (not the English/British style ones with thick fondant icing - they look nice but aren't that well to taste). Cakes are as good as the pastries, and prices are not too steep either. Various 'nankhatai'-esque items like peanut/pistachio/cashew/almond butter biscuits etc, plus paani poori puffs and Imli paani etc. add to the good range of snack items one usually craves for. Food is good quality, been many times. Meat samosas are lovely, the fresh cakes are delicious and the paninis are very nice. The Mathai is good however brought some cherry barfi and unfortunately there was no cherry’s in. They should serve more nut free selections. They should always provide nutritional information if required. However, last couple of times been going, I’ve been paying with card and when the cards been processed they took the machine away. Then took ages handing the card back to me, is a bit concerning. Asked where my card was and still didn’t it back until ages after. Also asked for a panini and they got the ingredients all mixed up. SWEETS OVER STREET It is going to be mixed but honest review so don’t take it personally. If you are going to buy sweets in Stoke on Trent, then there no any other better place than NAFEES, they have variety of sweets with complete Indian, Punjabi & Pakistani taste. Now, coming to street food, then i would not recommend NAFEES for street food like dahi bhalla, chaat or something because it’s not worth the money.
