Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

What a disaster.

We came in as a group of 5 for quick lunch. Fair enough it was busy, however we have been waiting for an hour(some of us still waiting) for food to come out

One the nearest spoke to a manager who apologised as there was only 4 of them on shift and the manager was cooking the food (which in turn causing more delays!!!)

The staff is incompetent to be kind at best. One of the girls was bringing plates out one at a 5ime and getting tables completely wrong. Had no table manners or service and just was clearly not trained well enough.

If you are understaffed, don't have the cafe open. You would be saving money and customer complaints from doing that. It just poor. Get your act together or...

Where to begin!

If you enjoy carrying your pram up the stairs, this is the place for you. Enjoy holding your bladder, this is the place to go. If you enjoy a service without a smile and for them to forget your order, Tesco Hanley Café have you covered. Enjoy watching your own plate of food being slammed on the table in front of your own eyes, you're in for a treat. Oh, is you're happy to chase your order for them to forget it, there is no better place than Tesco Café. How about getting a completely different image of the food/drink that is advertise? Once again, Tesco -Every Little Helps.

An absolute embarrassment of a café, from service straight to toilets.

The hygiene here is disgusting. We waited for ages in the queue and did not seem that busy. The lady behind the till said she had a hair in her mouth and started putting her fingers in her mouth and the continued to serve and touch the till. Then she went and served food carrying out food to customers. There was a 30 minute wait just for any food which we ended up not getting any plus we was put off what we had witnessed prior to ordering. We ordered hot drinks instead and the tea spoon that was bought out on the tray was disgusting. It was covered in what looked like soggy green parsley which was not hard to miss. Would avoid and not return. Serious...
