This was our first visit, so always makes me anxious as an autistic person. We always inform the restaurant on booking about this. We were greeted at the door & shown to a table quite close to the front, which felt a little vulnerable. Less than a minute later, the server came back & said they’d just seen our booking notes & they had a quieter table on the far side of the restaurant. We moved, & were shown to a booth. This felt much nicer. I ordered the Korean Chicken Burger with skin-on fries & hubs ordered the All Bar One Signature Burger with the same & we added a side of onion rings. All arrived quickly, & were tasty enough. We shared a pudding of Sticky Toffee Rum Pudding with Ginger Ice Cream. This was nice, but I personally would have liked to have had the option to have it with custard instead, but that’s just my preference. Our server was friendly & gave a check back too, which is always good. Worth mentioning the restaurant do Blue Light Discount, & their website also has some good offers, which can make the meals more reasonable. For us, we’d say it’s a nice place to come as a group or with teenage children, especially with the discount but we probably wouldn’t come back as a couple. Again, personal preference as opposed to anything the restaurant did in particular. Food was pleasant enough for a chain, and the move of table was much...
Read moreWe were a group of 4. Half of my cauliflower was under cooked. My friend burnt her fingers on the metal chicken skewers. My plant based burger was very dry. Manager did come over to clean the table & I did address the burnt fingers he was very apologetic asked if he could do anything for us... But what could he do. We said we're making him aware of it as she wasn't told to be careful and perhaps they shouldn't use metal skewers. As a couple we paid just under £100 for our 2 starters 2 mains. So all 4 of us was £200. As we had to order food and drink at the bar (no table service) at that price we didn't think much of it. I personally won't be going back very over priced especially when you have to get up and place your order again and again if you want more drinks. As a vegetarian there's not enough options for us. Everyone puts a Plant based burger on their menu and think we've ticked that box for vegan, that'll keep them quite. And then the music went on Very loud. We were shouting at each other. Basically eat and go... They should at least keep the restaurant part - have a lower volume while people are eating and...
Read moreWe had a terrible experience here. Bought a Groupon deal and when we got there we were asked to show them the voucher, and then told we couldnt order from the table we needed to go to the counter to order. When I went to the counter and put my order in, I was told I still needed to pay £26. I showed them that the Groupon deal was £26 and that I had already paid Groupon. It literally took the manager about 20 minutes of me waiting at the counter to sort out the problem on their system. Eventually he admitted I was right and then gave me my drinks over the counter. One was a bottle of wine in an ice bucket which I presumed they would bring and I took the beer and wine glass myself to our table. After a few minutes I realized he wasnt going to bring the wine, I got up and fetched it myself. At the counter I asked him if I had ordered from the table, would I be expected to go fetch my own drinks, and he said "I don't mind, I can bring the wine to you". Too little too late, and I took the wine to the table myself. Food was really good I must admit, but the service was atrocious and I will never go back to this...
