Lovely ice-cream but the staff are... RUDE RUDE RUDE!! I went with my Downâs syndrome sister and mother who happens to be in a wheelchair , to round off a lovely day after going to the Butterfly farm. On 2/9/20 at around 4.45. We bought ice-cream and as there wasnât any tables inside sat outside until one became available inside as it was raining. A young lady came over and said you need to move you didnât sign the book and I have to clear the table.( I think she expected us to go back out in the rain ). We all sat back from the table so she could clean it. Then I got up to give my details,Was told to wait while she disappeared out back, I sat back down to enjoy my ice-cream with my family. After a minute back out the young lady comes tapping her folder and telling us off for not sticking to their Protocol, on and on she went, round and round in circles, she just wouldnât leave us alone. I could tell she was making my mother and sister feel really unwelcome and uncomfortable, and I was feeling harassed by her myself.i asked her to leave us alone and Iâd sign the book when I leave, I was told your supposed to sign it before you sit down, and off she went again telling us off, I asked her to leave us alone again, as by this time I was getting angry, and my mum and sister were really upset. All we wanted was a nice ice-cream and to sit quietly and have a nice chat about our day. But she was determined to give us a hard time for absolutely no reason. I have never had anyone be so impolite and unprofessional and also so blatantly rude when their supposed to be serving the public. I still canât get my head round it. Im just disgusted. She also refused to give me her name when I asked, so hopefully if the management reads this theyâll know who Im speaking of from the time and date Iâve given
Iâd like to respond to the response from, so called on shift team manager. Firstly the number I gave was correct, and you have made no attempt to contact me. I started to give my mothers details , then changed my mind as I didn't want her being upset, so you have her name and my phone number. I made two attempts to give my details to you, the first time you walked away as I was giving it to you .. and the second time you came to our table with an officious manner and started harassing us as we were trying to eat our ice-cream. You acted in a surly and rude way to us on both occasions.. A customer is not automatically accustomed to your shop rules and procedures, it is up to you ,to be polite and accommodating. We did make the table available for you to clear when asked .. I donât understand !! Did you expect me to take my elderly disabled mother and sister back out into the rain so you could clear a table ?.... and I thank you for your concern on my mother and sisters behalf , but as you can see on the CCTV I carry hand sanitiser ( which we can be seen using) and also a spray bottle of food grade hydrogen peroxide to spray surfaces. And if you are so concerned for your safety why arenât any of you wearing face masks / shields or gloves. In no way was I rude to you !! You acted in and argumentative and surly way to us and would not leave us in peace, continually telling us off and harassing us, I then asked you to leave us alone as you were making us feel uncomfortable. You took it on yourself to take offence to this and told us to rudely get out, as this was obviously a childish reaction. I choose to ignore it as we had done nothing wrong. We continued to calmly finish our ice-cream. On leaving I gave another member of staff my contact details. I still canât get over the way we were treated. I myself work in retail, and I would never approach a customer in the way she approached us.I hope the manager does have another good look at the CCTV.. you can see the shook , dismay and embarrassment this employee caused to my mother and sister. And I was only acting in defence of them...

So we ordered 2 waffles with ice cream , sauce & whipped cream . Sat down & waited about 15-20 minutes before I went to investigate where are desserts were . I said excuse me to one of the girls and was totally ignored , so popped around to the little kitchen area where my order was clearly sat on the side . The girl said âoh yes I was just about to bring them outâ another girl literally bought them to the table , slammed them down without a single word , she was extremely rude . It goes without saying the waffles were cold . Today it appeared there was some training taking place so maybe this was the reason for the slow and unfriendly service . I shall not go in again , it was really disappointing . The staff need to be trained in customer service skills or the customers will choose somewhere else to spend their money. I did look around for someone in charge/manager to voice this with them , but no-one around , so had to put my experience on...
