Such a shame as this cafe looks so sweet and inviting. We have now been in twice (second time to give it the benefit of the doubt) and I’m dumbfounded at how rude the staff are. The first time we went in just before Christmas the girl served us and didn’t utter a word, no hello...nothing! I was having my tea when she told me they were closing and could we please hurry! (This is 5 minutes after we sat down). Perhaps she could have mentioned it before we bought a round of tea and cake. She then went on to stack chairs around us.

Today we went in. Different lady. She was just as rude. Barely said anything. Looked like she’d rather be anywhere but there. Our table was filthy but no one cleaned it. It wasn’t busy so I can’t understand the attitude and the lack of keeping the cafe up together.

It’s a shame. We would have been good, regular customers if our experiences had been different. We have just moved down the road and are always out and about on walks and like to drop into a nice local cafe.

I’d give this one...

Oh my goodness, what an absolute Gem of a place. Firstly the staff are amazing, Happy, Chatty and really efficient. The building itself is beautiful. All glass so you can see around the location. Beautifully clean, access to plugs so you can have a quick boost to charge a phone. The food was out of this world. We both had cherry biscoff crumble and ice cream. I have never tasted a crumble like it. It was like a taste explosion in my mouth, I was stuffed after that but was an absolute highlight of our trip. We had jumped off the open topped bus ride and it was throwing it down with rain, so we cheekily nipped in for a pot of tea, never realising this will be on our visit list for when we return to explore more!! Thank you ladies, you really made us feel welcome, and fed us your...

Only just made it back with 2 hour parking ticket. They had 4 orders in 1 hour and struggled to get the sandwiches out in that time. A shame it is a really nice setting and selection. When we asked about our orders the server wouldn't look up from her phone and they were hoping we had forgotten about half our order as they were very reluctant to bring it out when we reminded them a second time. Could have been great but an hour wait for a sandwich, the service was terrible and very unhelpful as they were not impressed in having to put there phone down. Definitely won't be returning altogether used up our whole 2 hours just for a sandwich. We were the one of only 2 tables waiting for an order and despite multiple reminders never an apology, a smile such a shame could be a...

Customer care focused staff who beyond just serving you and make sure you are comfortable. Family friendly and noted plenty of parents with young kids who were enjoying themselves. Relaxing views across the river with no noise next to to the footpath.Food is spot on with portion size and taste. Vegan item on menu. Sunny side ensures it is warm in winter. Easy access from all parts of Stratford and walking distance of all city centre parking spots. Great impression of Stratford and the folk here. Will be back.

Very disinterested staff , who although we were eating in served our tea and coffee in a paper cups. She poured the milk in immediately before the tea had properly brewed. She knew we were eating in, but she shoved our slice of cake in a paper bag which broke it into pieces. I asked for a plate and was told they didn't have any. This was mid afternoon not just before closing. Not the relaxing tea and cake break we wanted. Definitely would not return or recommend
