Decor and view from windows were beautiful. The cocktail menu itself is exquisite. Finely put together amazing flavours. The cocktails are actually devine, beautifully presented and not shy on the alcohol. So decor, view, music, staff, cocktails and drinks menu 10/10
Sunday roast verdict - can I just say I don't usually eat my mash on a roast I'm so not a fan however this may be the best mash I have tasted ever so thank you. The beef was beautifully cooked not dry at all, I weren't keen on the veg it had a funny aftertaste the broccoli and carrots and there wasn't much. Yorkshire and gravy were fab aswell 👌 7.5/10
The American Sniper burger was huge and was really tasty. Pulled pork and cheesy croquette. Served with skin on fries rated a good 8/10
Creme brulee for dessert. 😍 oh my. This was 10/10 no words. It was served with a chocolate sort of mouse/thick cream which was absolutely beautiful 😍

I have had better Italian food, not to my liking, Certainly won’t be in a hurry too go back, and if you going to give a customer a complimentary shot afterwards, give to...
Read moreKnowledge at The Boar's Head is a treat. Probably the finest restaurant in Sunderland and certainly a favourite over the whole Tyne and Wear area. The attentive service is always delightful and the stunning view of the Wearmouth bridge paints the city in a view not seen so often. The outside terrace overlooking the river is a must in summer.

Do consider a visit, even if it's a little further afield than...
