As a lifelong Sunderland resident and Ashbrooke local since 2011, I finally visited Pati Cake Patisserie today after passing it countless times. My wife and I, taking a break from her work-from-home routine, decided to pop in for coffee and cake. The cake selection was nothing short of amazing. We opted for the pistachio cheesecake, the pink spice, and the biscoffee Nutella cake. Each was a delightful treat, showcasing the patisserie's commitment to quality and flavor.

Given its modest exterior, I anticipated the shop to be empty, but to my pleasant surprise, several tables were occupied, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Although we chose to take away this time, the ambiance was so appealing that we've already planned to return with our son for hot chocolate.

Myself and my husband are so happy this place exists! First time trying today and we LOVED it 😍 we don't know anywhere else nearby serving delicious polish food so Thank you Paticakes!

I noticed how happy the staff seem in thier job making the customer service top notch 👌 👏 Friendly, warm place and owners, the owner actually recommended the soup today and we were blown away with the flavour (of everything actually) everything was spot on!

We're both fans of Polish food so we were in our happy place trying Paticakes Pierogi, Bigos and Beetroot Soup, they were all delicious and hearty! The frappe and coffee were also great👍🏼

As the portions were really substantial we couldn't fit in dessert but can't wait to come back to try :)

Lastly we were shocked when we came to pay the bill my husband actually said "are you sure? that seems cheaper than it should be" so we left a tip because the whole experience was just lovely 😍

Pati cake Pattiserie. An amazing little patisserie with the most delightful cakes. Impossible to pick a favourite as each time you go there’s another range to pick from, and each one better than the last. Team your cake with a yummy frappe or a gorgeous hot chocolate/mocha made with actual chocolate rather than powder and you’re set up for the day 😋 If you haven’t got a sweet tooth, then the savouries are equally as good. Nice chunky toasties with thick, tasty bread and a generous filling will definitely keep you going. Or the massive breakfast sandwiches are definitely for the more hungry. The only problem with visiting here is the fact that it’s too hard to make a choice. Fantastic food, both English and Polish. Excellent drinks. Really good value for money and really pleasant and friendly staff. These are the qualities that make me happy to come back time...
