Terrible service today! Rude, ignorant, backward staff bringing the place down. Today wasn't my first visit to stack as i have been there a few times but it will certainly be my last. I asked for the heating to be put on, at that point we were the only ones there. I was told by that member of staff that they were replacing the gas canisters. She then proceeded to replace every single table except ours, then started lighting the rest for other people who had started arriving over 20 minutes after we asked. I'm pretty sure my exterior appearance was not to her liking, but how do you prove that! 🤔 🤷🏾♀️. After someone else in our party (who looks different in appearance) asked for the heating to be switched on it was finally done a good 30 minutes after first asking but again this appeared to be begrudgingly done by a different member of staff. I was then told i would need to pay for extra soy sauce at Healthy Thaim after getting the £25 sushi platter, they had only put half a pot of soy sauce with it 🤦🏾♀️. As well as that it was the worst sushi ive had. Some of it comprised of a slab of rice with a sundried tomato on it 🤣 (please see pictures). We've had this platter before, and it was delicious. We were even given 3 pots of soy sauce then at no extra cost. It's a shame that the Stack is already going downhill due to the people...
Read moreTook my two kids (6 &14) to STACK Seaburn a few weeks ago as I had heard good reviews. We first went on the Dive into the Blue simulator. It wasn’t really a simulator as I imagined it would be. You sat in a long room decorated to be like the inside of a submarine. It had screens on both walls and a big one at the front. My 6 year old enjoyed it although he may have been a year or so too old for it. Younger kids would enjoy it for sure. My 14 year old tolerated it for the 15 min show length. Then we went for food at one of the 8 or 10 vendors dotted around the central seating area. All looked very appetising. There was also a Greatest Showman show going on the main stage so the place was rammed. There was still plenty of seating on the upper level. Food was great. My son had loaded fries, my daughter had Korean and I had a burger. You go to your chosen outlet and pay and they give you a pager which buzzes when your food is ready. There were also 2 or 3 bars so it would be a good place for adults to come for a few drinks. Didn’t give 5 stars as it wasn’t really a ‘simulator’. My son was expecting it to move and shake as the sub moved about. Otherwise it was a good way to spend a couple hours during the long summer holidays. Parking was nearby and not very expensive but the machines weren’t working so you had to use a...
Read moreThank goodness for heaters. Nicely designed place with good choices. The downside is that you have to download the app to see the current menu and order.
With the app, we ordered and it never gave a confirmation, so I tried again, and now it showed the same order twice!
Went straight to the bar and the manager sorted out the refund and cancelled the duplicate order.
Brack burgers - absolutely amazing and great customer service. They even said that seems odd, the exact order twice. Lovely people.
Bao Buns - went to tell them it was a duplicate order. Then, I asked for our drinks, they said you didn't have any, even though they can see my app. They searched through the bin...red flag #2. Finally, she rolled her eyes and said, "Just give it to them" (like we were lying) red flag #3. Went to see were the food was - 20 more min..got the manager and he went to check it out and asked our order. Obviously, they threw out our order because our food was wrong but at that point why even go back up - we ended up with a katsu rice bowl and 2 duck bao buns should have been katsu bao bun/sesame bao bun and then 2 sesame bao buns. The customer service was shocking, so I won't visit that restaurant again. The manager did his best and was super friendly! We highly recommend the burger...
