THE BEST BAKERY IN SUNDERLAND Everything here tastes amazing, the staff are hardworking and are really friendly; meaning it is not just the food that brings a smile to your face. It's just an all round brilliant family run business. My mother used to bring me when I was a child, but I was also a loyal customer for most of my teen years, from the age of 13 I would always pop in after my paper round and grab a bite to eat; usually a sausage and bean sandwich and a can of Fanta (my personal favourite), I am now 19 and I can honestly say that the quality of their food has stayed at the same high standards throughout. Called in today, this was my first visit to the shop.The Bakery was recommended to me & I finally made a visit. I could see from the outset that this was a popular Bakery by the number of customers waiting to be served. Very friendly & polite staff. Good selection of locally produced bakery items. I bought an uncut brown loaf & two mince pies. The price was reasonable & the produce was very nice & fresh. I wasn't disappointed. I forgot to ask if they made Stottie Cakes. An example of what a successful British business SHOULD be like, I'm now buying bread buns for the family too ! The mince pies look a little dry BUT they definitely are not.. pastry to die for, popped in today and no mince pies left so tried a steak & kidney one and a bacon and cheese wrap, both were gorgeous, can't fault any food or the service in this small family business, unreservedly highly recommended.
