Visited for the first time this past weekend. The food was insane, so tasty and obviously fresh and really well made. It took an hour between ordering and the food coming out but we were warned of this when ordering and the wait was worth it. I would say it’s a little unclear when you go in that you have to order at the bar but we worked it out. I also couldn’t find any kind of drinks menu and with the bar being quite high and me being quite short I didn’t get a chance to really see what was on offer and ended up with a San Pelegríno, it was good but it would have been nice to know what the options were. Overall I’d highly recommend a visit here and am hoping to be back soon myself. Pictured is the char sui fries and JFC chicken strips which came with pickles and dips of choice.

This was a little gem we visited as Southampton fans after loosing badly at the Stadium of Light. Was really busy after the match so left and went to a pub further up the road and then came back when it was quieter - and are so glad we did!! Lovely atmosphere, excellent range of beers and ciders - including Belgian beers. We ended up having food here which was delicious- the lovely waitress explained the menu with us which was mostly pizza with fancy names - but she explained it in simple terms- pepperoni, spicy pepperoni, veggi etc. The chips were to die for especially the garlic Mayo and Parmesan. We also had the chicken strips which were yummy. Staff were friendly and we Would definitely return if we are in Sundered again. Very close to the Premier Inn.

The pizza would have been excellent had the base not been burnt, I think the oven might not have been at the right temperature. The toppings on the goats cheese pizza were delicious, just a shame it tasted burnt. The fries were extremely dry and the parmesan was tasteless, the predominant flavour was rosemary. They don't offer sauces like mayonnaise or ketchup, so you'd need to pay an extra £2.50 for a dip for the fries. There was no heating on in 'the snug' when we visited in winter so it was too cold to take our coats off but apart from that it was ok. Update: gave this place another go and the pizza base on the 2nd visit was better, the fries were nicer and the chicken with blue cheese sauce was very nice too +1 star.

Great pub with something for everyone. A very large selection of bottled and draft beers, ciders and stouts as well as extensive gins and malt whiskies. Regularly changes real ale and beers on keg from local, and not so local, breweries as well. Traditional wood panelling and ornamental detail give the pub a very homely and cosy ambience. The building itself is large and quite grand with a main bar area, a large snug and rooms upstairs for events. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the products, happy to offer advice and answer any questions. Now has a rear courtyard area with additional seating, to supplement the small, partially covered roof terrace for smokers. The pub is just on the edge of the main city centre but is well worth a visit and is part of a growing group in or near the Deptford area who are attracting more people to this up and coming part...

A great traditional, old-fashioned pub that serves an excellent selection of ales and a simple, but excellent menu. The staff are always extremely busy, but remain professional and polite. If you love pizza then do not hesitate - go there! They even do a veggie option, if you are that way inclined. NoIf you like a varied selection of ales - go there! Don't mess about - go there! Besides the main bar there are additional rooms for eating and drinking on the ground floor and upstairs. Live music occasionally, but no video games, robbing bandits, or anything else that prevents a good time. A two-minute walk from the theatre or The Fire station (music venue, not the one with big red engines!). There are a couple of council operated car parks close by, otherwise parking is a premium (come on, it's the...

Called here with my daughter after we parked the car before going to the Stadium of Light for the P!NK Concert on Sunday evening. The pub is far bigger than we thought and a female staff member greeted us when we walked in the door and told us where to go and what areas were available. There was a great selection of drinks to choose from at the bar.

The staff member told us about the different room upstairs which we had a look in, and we started off outside in the little beer garden but then went into a lovely little room afterwards. The food looked lovely but we didn't eat here so can't make any comments.

Chatted to a few people in the beer garden that were also heading to the concert. It is in a great location to visit when booking event parking at Riverside car park before heading to...
