Stag Pub — Restaurant in Sunninghill and Ascot

When we arrived the atmosphere was pleasant and we were served promptly at the bar. We had our Italian greyhound with us and took a seat to wait for the food we had ordered along with the drinks we had.

A lovely woman served us our food and was extremely kind and attentive. The food was good - the nachos were nice.

A little while later, we were approached by another member of staff that very rudely told us that we needed to leave where we were sitting because ‘it wasn’t fair to the other customers’ that we had a dog. When I let this person know that we’d been sat there for 90 mins with no problem and had been served our food, she just very impatiently told us to move into the bar with our drinks.

Such a shame because the service from the previous waitress had been so lovely, but this extremely rude interaction has really out us off, and despite this being our local pub, we will...

Having been at the Stag many times over the past few years, it always maintain its pleasant staff, ambience and good food. As pub food goes, this is marvellous and reasonably priced. The rear outdoor beer garden is a brilliant setting on a hot summer day or even on a colder day as they have sheltered area. It is also a dog friendly pub, which I genuinely love. I'm not a shareholder or have any reasons not to be sincere, but this is truly a little hidden gem when you visit Ascot. 10min walk from the station if you follow the road but I can recommend the "scenic" route which is 15min and goes straight through the green towards...

Good food, awful service. Waitress in dolce and gabbana glasses, failed to get one of our group his food, so he was waiting for ages, then they brought him the wrong food, wait some more, eventually got his food after everybody else had finished, poor guy was starving as well.

Really should have offered him some free chips or something while he was waiting, pathetic effort. Seemed apologetic at the time but didn't come across very sincere.

Then she messed up the bill, was charging us for numerous things we hadn't had. Really really poor service. Shame because...
