Upon entering, instead of being greeted, I was bombarded by information about what they have to order, their menus, prices and process... Despite all that information being readily available to me on their seemingly 3 or 4 different menus. I'd only hoped to go in for something simple, so I pointed to Prawn katsu on the menu and asked for it. On the menu, prawn katsu was " £5.99 for 4 peices", however, the first time it was run through the till, it came up just over £6 something, upon querying this, and despite pointing to the £5.99 katsu on the menu, I was directed to one of the chillers next to the counter, weather more expensive already made meals were. After looking at the menu again and seeing two different instances of prawn katsu, in two different sections of the menu, both priced completely differently, I once again pointed at the £5.99 four-piece katsu and re-requested my original order. I was asked to sit and wait l while they made my order and brought it out to me. Eventually the server brought out a three-piece prawn katsu... Despite it being a four piece on the menu. Upon querying this inconsistency, they told me they were using larger prawns so therefore only have three on the serving. I informed them that this was unacceptable due to the nature of the menu saying four peace not three. The server then went away to speak to another member of staff before reappearing a few moments later with a four peice as I had initially asked for. It mustn't have been a minute since serving me my food the first time and myself leaving the store, however the food wasn't hot, if anything it was slightly warm the piece that was placed on top to make up the four was cold. The only reason this review has more than one star, is the napkins and...
Read moreI don't like to give a low rating, but I can't justify a higher rating when I compare the food to the quality of the 4 or 5 star sushi restaurants that I've rated in London. I was hoping that by looking at this restaurant's current rating, that it would be somewhere close to the better Japanese restaurants in London, but unfortunately not and the gap is fairly large. I don't think the sushi is better than the quality you would get from Itsu or Wasabi even. Very disappointing. I also tried the ramen, which was again, significantly levels below a mid-tier London ramen restaurant like Shoryu or Bone Daddies. If you know what great Japanese food is like, I would avoid this...
