The Cabin — Restaurant in Surrey Heath

This pub/bar is very beautiful and unusual. The decoration has been made of pieces of rough wood and antique staff with strange pictures. The tables and chairs do not match each other and this is one the reasons this place is so attractive and nice. They have a small garden with chairs and tables made out of recycle wood from pallets. There is also an old bicycle, a piano and two sofas that are taking very quickly, so if you want a sofa, you will have to bring your own! :)) They serve coffee and food apart from beer and spirit etc.

In reference to food, I only had once a cheese board and it tasted like any supermarket cheese, but the people that run this amazing bar have now said to me that their cheeses are actually "selected" somehow and they are not just any cheese weesee - so.... you will have to go and try for yourself and let me know what you think - perhaps my cheese taste buds have developed to the "norme française", and I like mine smelly and soft :)....Anyway, The bar gets very busy on Saturday night and noisy, so if you suffer from tinnitus think of taking earplugs :) The staff has always been friendly and they smile often. Even when busy they do make a big effort to serve you ASATC. Prices are reasonable but it is always better to get a full bottle than glass if you are not driving. :) Remember there are Ubers and taxis or walk in the fresh air, it is not worth having accidents and losing your licence so don't drink and drive! Was having a lovely drink with my friends last night in the beer garden as usual. The venue is great! However, there was a group of people who were apparently regulars and friends of the owner who ruined it for us. They had Brough in thier own drinks and food, talked loudly about things like sex toys, and hitting each other and choking?!?! Certainly not what I want to hear when I'm trying to relax after work.

And then when I used the bathroom, a man in drag followed me in like he owned the place, so I left. I don't think I'll be going back if that's the kind of people that have taken over the place now.

I've spent my last 3 New Year Eves at The Cabin with family and friends. The band has always been great and the atmosphere is really lively. They serve delicious food throughout the night and the cocktails are great. The team are super friendly and always make you feel welcome. My parents live close by and they have gone in for the cheese boards lots of times. They've always said it's delicious and great value. I'm going to age just saying this, but the decor is very 'cool'. Lots to see. Would definitely...
