Johnsons Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Tendring

I had fish and chips from this shop today, and unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience. The chips were really bad—they had an unpleasant taste, and I couldn’t even finish them. The fish was a bit better, but it wasn’t tasty or enjoyable. I’ve had a lot of fish and chips in different places, and sadly, this one just didn’t meet the mark.

What a lovely little fish and chip shop. The red-haired lad at the front desk was clearly rushed off his feet but he kept so calm and composed. A lady complained about her order and was rude to the young man but I personally couldn’t see anything wrong with it. All of our food was cooked fresh, tasted lovely and was worth the wait(as you can see from the photo I’ve added, my tribe scranned the whole lot haha) I can’t fault them. Avoid this place! I ordered both a beef burger and a chicken burger — both were completely burnt and absolutely not worth the price. I got was dry and tasteless like chalk. If you’re not watching the staff closely, they’ll serve you whatever they feel like- all covered with cheese. The guy which has the chef jacket- take this off, and don’t wear this until you will learn some simple rules! Shame!...
