Sorry, I had to edit this my old feedback from last summer wasn't clear enough. The beach is dirty, messy, and unsafe. I couldn't see any beach lifesavers around until a couple of days ago when one mum saved a kid from drowning. The Sea Patrols are always stationed in one place only, and they do not have a clue what's happening in the nearby areas. There was no red flag in place to warn swimmers of danger, and the patrol only put it at the end of the day when most of the people left. I think that the council or the responsible authority needs to provide more personnel to secure the beaches; otherwise, who will be responsible for any accidents that happen?
The public toilets are in a terrible state; they smell and are full of litter that has been there for three days. Web spiders are everywhere, especially in the men's toilet underground. If you need to use the toilet for number 2, you should take some paper with you because there is no toilet paper in some of the toilets. I am not sure if I will come back...
Read moreWalton Beach is a short walk up the beach from Frinton and likewise the golden beaches exist here as well, and in addition it has a pier, which at its front entrance has a large amusement arcade with everything to offer including dodgems and carousels to one arm bandits and other well known arcade games. As you exit through the back and onto the pier you get a wonderful view of both Walton and Frinton.
