Sorry to only give 1 star as the people running it are super welcoming and friendly. BUTâŠthe food is absolutely dire and overpriced.
We had two kids meals (chicken nuggets/ sausage with chips), a chicken burger, some onion rings, and a battered sausage with chips. Now I wouldnât expect the world from a beach-front cafĂ© shack, but Iâd at least expect it to be edible.
The chicken was reformed, frozen rubbish, the kind youâd likely find in Iceland and debate whether it was actually chicken. The sausages (again debatable whether theyâd previously been a pig) and onion rings were literally dripping with oilâŠand the chips, again cheap/ Iceland quality, were utterly tasteless.
This, with three soft drinks, for just shy of ÂŁ30, simply ridiculous. We couldnât eat most of it, it was that bad, so our lunch sat on the sand just ended with 2 hungry kids and disappointment, avoid...
   Read moreInstant Nescafé coffee and poor quality food. Yes, it is probably cheaper than other cafes along the beachfront but I don't think there's any excuse for the poor quality. I don't know anyone who wants to go to a cafe to drink instant coffee. Still, I was glad to have it to wash down the sausage bap which was dry and tasted like they'd reheated the cheapest sausages money can buy.
