Newroz Kitchen — Restaurant in Tendring

The reason I am giving 4* for atmosphere is because I hadn't visited in years and I visited recently for a staff evening since it was taken over again, but as it has special events on I would have to visit on another night to give a clear marking of the extra star. As soon as I walked through the doors I was warmly welcomed with a smile as I approached the bar and ordered a Cocktail of choice which was very enjoyable and caught sight of the fresh food being cooked through the open kitchen area, I went to this evening with my daughter where we took our seat, we were given a starter of the fresh food and this was topped up when run low, the waiter and waitress were very polite. This later was cleared away for the main dish to arrive at the table. Taking a look at the menu firstly to check out another Cocktail of choice as it was a long time since having an evening out did notice that the prices were quite high for my normal purse but from the food that was delivered to the table I think could reflect the price listed what you would pay out. The staff were lovely and accommodating and I would certainly visit again for another meal in the future. My only gripe would be that the table should have been one long table rather than top table with 2 long tables either side, missed time talking to my other work family members on...

Lovely food WHEN you can get it delivered, the last 2 times we've ordered the service has been terrible the first time we had an issue wasn't really their fault as just eat didn't assign a driver but at no time did anyone try to contact us to inform us of any issues but the last time which was tonight 29/03 the order was cancelled when the app said the driver was at the restaurant waiting to collect and then without reason Order CANCELLED and as this is looking to be the norm for new Roz"s service they will not be having my custom again. 10 minutes after posting this review had an interesting development where new Roz called our number and said that the driver took the food out to us and claimed that we cancelled the order and returned it which something neither of us expected to happen from them, if the restaurant is to busy to fulfil their delivery orders they should closed their just eat ordering system rather then lie and try to blame us and as you can see from the attached photo we did NOT...

Been here a few times and usually really satisfied. Visited today, opted in for the lunch menu what we usually order. Extremely small portions 4 cubes of chicken, one small bowl of salad between 3 people, we ordered x3 hummus and it was absolutely tiny just thinly spread on the plate with 1 piece of bread each. I’m really sad to write this as I’ve been going here for ages and usually rave about it but cutting the portions down this small is so disappointing. The waiter was extremely rude today and stared at us the entire time while we was eating. What a shame you’ve let the restaurant go down hill like this… paid £65 for 4 cubes of chicken each, walked out of there still really hungry. Hopefully writing this review the manager will take into consideration as the waiter clearly didn’t care for our feedback and made us feel uncomfortable with his sly remarks eg, the portions have been cut back smaller as everything has gone up, which I understand however the price is cheap...
