Village Cafe — Restaurant in Tendring

It’s been a while since we last visited here & whilst even then experience was never great, (often let down by, “chef”, smoking out the back with door open & easy trips to the toilet the next day), the food was ok. Ordered fish and chips, when it arrived, all looked overcooked. Tried to eat it, but was unable to reach much, and did not enjoy it. When the waitress came over when we were ready to go. I’ve been here 4 times now and got to say the food is really good. It’s a small but very good menu and pricing. Today the lady was very friendly and polite despite us getting there fairly close to closing time, which in the catering industry is rare. Good food Good menu Good prices Good service
