Bella Vita & Funky Flamingo Romsey — Restaurant in Test Valley

It's very flamingo pink and loads and loads of flowers all over the place. The waiter was good and the service speedy. Great cocktails, didn't taste too strong, that were freshly made and tasty. At nearly £9 a cocktail its a place to think about drinking at but great for a gathering. Food is Italian in style but I didn't eat so I've no idea how good it was at all, but those around us seemed happy with it. The best bit us the design of the seating as most tables seemed to be tucked away and gave a sense of privacy. The music was pitched just right so it covered construction around but you could hear what each other were saying, so perfect. It's an interesting place to go to and I definitely would return with my friend for a pitcher of cocktails (I think it was about £18 per pitcher which gives about 3.5 cocktails) but I'm not sure I would go for a romantic evening...

Table of nine. 6pm so not busy. Waiter very good. Everyones food great apart from mine. Ordered Fajitas. Was expecting them to come sizzling on the cast iron dish. Turned up not sizzling in a sort of liquid with courgettes as advertised missing.I asked the waiter who said the Chef said there wasnt any. He did ask if i wanted anything else and did get me some french beans by way of an alternative. Now it was my daughters birthday and we spent alot of money in a non busy place. I am a Chef by trade and whilst everyone elses food was great mine...was in my opinion not freshly cooked and was quite frankly a lazy attempt. I didnt create a drama as not to upset my daughter. I will most likely return there without my kids. I hope i get a better meal and the Chef reflects on how happy he is with food before he...

Went here for lunch with 3 friends. The atmosphere was nice, the music was good and the whole place has the feel of a nightclub bit sadly the food was pretty dire. I had breaded chicken with spaghetti and the chicken was greasy and tasted like it had been deep fried. The spaghetti had been either microwaved or the sauce had been previously frozen as it was watery. My friends salads were disappointing and not as per menu. The chips were nice though apparently! Service was friendly but slow even though it wasn't busy although they did take the price of a salad off the bill when asked to. I don't think I would want to go back for food but I'm sure it would be a nice place...
