Bosphorus Turkish Kitchen — Restaurant in Test Valley

My wife and I have recently had our eyes opened to Turkish cuisine and we couldn't believe our luck when we discovered this newly opened restaurant in Romsey. On arrival at our 6pm booking the place was already thriving, always a good sign. Food arrived very quickly, despite the amount of people there. Staff were attentive and the food portions were generous. The only thing that we thought would bother us was the position of where we were sat. The front door wouldn't shut properly and people were noticing the draft that was coming in. A simple ball catch should solve this issue and I'm sure it'll be addressed soon with temperatures to drop in the coming months. It will by no means affect my 5 star review. I had dinner here yesterday with my mother-in-law and was completely blown away by how amazing the food was – so much so that I came back today with my husband! Everything we tried was full of flavour and cooked to perfection.

Special mention has to go to the king prawn starter, which was outstanding – perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Both the lamb and chicken shish were equally delicious, tender, and packed with authentic flavour.

The service was warm and welcoming, and the whole dining experience was such a pleasure. This has definitely become one of my favourite places to eat, and I can’t recommend it enough. We went for dinner with five of us. We were simply walking through and this was their opening night. We all just got water and a main but was given free bread and dip I assume as it was opening evening.

The food was amazing the bread was some of the best I’ve had in England and my main was Tavuk Sarma beyti. Cooked perfectly well and no complaints.

There was a slight mix up with chips and cuss cuss which was promptly resolved as they brought out extra for us for no charge.

Everyone was friendly and welcoming would highly recommend. This will become our nice place to take visiting friends and family. The food is expensive but...
