Golden Dragon — Restaurant in Test Valley

I looked up best Chinese in Andover and this was the result. I ordered takeaway and it was ready when I arrived. I ordered Szechuan chicken and special fried rice with some satay chicken and prawn crackers Unfortunately, when we got at home, it looked like the attached picture. Chicken satay was okay and of course there was nothing wrong with the prawn crackers, but the Szechuan and special fried rice were little more than an anaemic chicken broth, absolutely no spice whatsoever and Pink chicken that looked like it was partially cooked but I think it was just coloured pink. Without doubt the worst Chinese I think I’ve ever eaten. I’m certainly glad that I didn’t buy for other people won’t be going there again. To be fair to them I have to admit that when I complained, I was offered a refund, but there was no consideration of the inconvenience and spoiled enjoyment when they quibbled over a portion of prawn crackers in terms of refund. I used to come here all the time for sit down meals and takeaways when I could afford to about 8 years ago and absolutely loved it! . I've had 2 experiences here this year, once in March for a sit down meal to celebrate my daughters birthday and a takeaway last night. The sit down meal in March, the food took so long to come out once we finally got our table we booked over 30 minutes late! The takeaway again took longer than quoted of 40 minutes on phone and when I got the food home and ate it was terrible. Ribs were tasteless with little meat, and the 1/2 crispy duck was chewy. So disappointing, I ended up throwing it away. A waste of over £30, sadly I won't be returning to this place again which was once a fantastic Chinese...

Food generaly late when ordering, when eating in food is very good quality

Edit - after several further orders sonce my original post, the standards have dropped dramatically. Made another order last night, it took 30 mins longer to get her than what they said, got the order wrong, took another 40 mins to get to my address to give correct meals (despite being a 2 min drive away). When ordering they told me 31.90 over the phone but next day when checking online banking, i had been charged £40 even though the receipt said the correct amount, and delievery was free

Staff are incredibley rude over the phone and are even worse when you try to challenge their mistake. They have now completly lost 2 previously...
