Coffee#1 Andover — Restaurant in Test Valley

Ordered 2 flat whites and a baby chino. We were asked whether we wanted smooth or rich beans. I said smooth. My daughter had 9 stamps on her rewards card so we expected a free one this time. Went to pay. Charged 3.75 each rather than 3.45. No free coffee. I challenged this. Was quite curtly asked 'which coffee bean did you ask for' turns out smooth is 30p more. I said 'great, no one told us that.' Assistant replied ' that is what they're told to say, that's coffee 1's policy' Not impressed to be honest. We felt duped. 😐 no apology given, nothing, made us feel like it was our fault..... Then assistant quite curtly said, 'I can give you 60P back' Of course I should have said OK. I then said where's the free drink,? was given some wiffle about the next one being free..... Sorry, very poor all around. Coffee 1 need to look at their policies. More clarity required. Shall...

A great Coffee shop in Andover, great tea, good atmosphere etc BUT and this is a BIG BUT the toilet doors are a major headache, they have security double locks on them, key pads I guess to stop people coming in just to use the faciliites, the keypad aspect has a deadlock, something that is very difficult to try and explain to a 10 year old trapped on the inside! Having to use 2 latches to open from the inside is really problematic, we are not the only people to have this happen to them, even the manager thought it was a terrible design! Eventually we were able to sort the issue out and rescue the 'trapped' youngster, the manager was very sorry and dealt with the situation the best way possible. Went to there this afternoon (5 April 2018) with my 3 children and friend. I went inside to ordered and friend trying to keep my 12yo disabled son and my 3 yo calm down by giving them a mini eggs and strawberry so they won't run around. That being said the manager told my friend off for give them outside food even tho she explain to him (the manager) that he's disabled and I'm inside anyway ordering drink and food, he doesn't even care and when my friend came and told me to cancelled the ordered. I then try to talk to the manager and explain that my son is disabled his answered was he doesn't look disabled so how do I know even tho we repeatedly said to him that he is. Not even an apology.
