FYI Photo on the right is for comparison purposes from a previous visit. I originally sent this in a message on FB to the café as feedback, however after not receiving a reply for months, I figure I might as well post it here. As another reviewer has said, this place has drastically changed the quality of their menu. They used to do a mix and match style selection where you could choose 3 to 4 dishes, which my friends and I used to share between us, they were incredible. On visiting with my friends about three months ago, I just picked three salads for myself as I could see they changed their menu, but just assumed that the food would be similar to what it was.

I’ve attached pictures of a previous visits food, and a picture of what I got this time. The broccoli was so good, even though it looked messy, but it couldn’t make up for the other items, which were so disappointing. The aubergine just didn’t taste good, the squash was ok, It wasn’t cooked for long enough, the sauce seemed to have been put on with a piping bag?? And had a lacklustre flavour of maybe mayonnaise. I don’t have to tell you which photo is which below. They are worlds apart, in standards, presentation, and taste. It’s such a shame, because this used to be the go to place I would take people to on visits, especially if they were vegetarian as each dish had so much thought put into it. I have to say, the service is quite friendly, and the atmosphere is actually lovely, lots of families, park run attendees, and cute dogs. They need to get back to what they were, or unfortunately, they’l just be another...

We were so impressed with our experience last time that we decided to go back today. The cafe is very nice but noisy. They have a quieter room as well if you don’t want to eat in a loud environment. They also have lots of outdoor seating. The service was really quick and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. You can also get loads of bits here. There is a kiosk so if you want to order something quickly you can. There are plenty of staff around but the queue is too long for ordering in the cafe so it would be great to have two ordering screens(even if they were against the wall)like the screens in McDonald’s to speed everything up a little bit more. There are plenty of toilet facilities and the toilets are immaculate. My Ice Cream was delicious,I had the Vanilla Ice Cream(The one that you push up which is made by Mansfield Farm). They also sell nice Kombucha drinks too. I would also recommend the Salted Caramel Ice Cream even though unfortunately they did not have it today in stock and the Passionfruit Lemonaid+ drink. They even sold gluten free Lemon Drizzle Cake. The car park is a very short way away but the pathway is slightly hazardous so take caution. The car park is...

Not been for a while to the cafe and remembered it being a little over priced, however was worth it for the products they used.

I like that they were supporting ethical products. You can now tell this is being run and inspired by plant based chef and owner, because it more focused on its brand rather than the customers and the locals.

We arrived to find out that they have changed to a totally meat free menu, which is not stated any where until you download the menu.

We ordered mushrooms on toast which took 35 mins to come , they were cold and more Kale than mushroom (guess it cheaper 😉) chill and dried sugar coated walnuts, the wife is diabetic.

Complained about the state of the dish and was met with a vacant stare from the waiter.

It then took them a further 30 mins to get us the bill...

We left and while getting back on our bikes, we where discussing the awful experience, when another set of customers, asked was we really talking about this cafe, are we joking it is meat free no other options , we said yes .

They got back on their bikes and went to the another...

Has become very expensive since my last visit a few years ago and the food far less exciting. It was £4 for a regular sized latte (most expensive price I've ever seen for a regular latte), £5.50 for a fresh orange juice and over £5 for most cakes and muffins. Similarly toasties and avo on toast were very costly. We had come for Lunch but upon seeing the price we just got two drinks and left. Not sure we'll be back for a while purely on the grounds of the cost. I think the chef must have also changed in the last few years too, this place used to have really unique Nori wraps and other gorgeously unique and delicious dishes and whilst unique they were also reasonably priced. Service was still quick and atmosphere still good mind you. It's mainly the price that has put us off.

Arrived on a dull winter afternoon, first visit. Enjoyed a late lunch, which was delicious. I chose the chicken Caesar burger, and my husband chose the seabass. All freshly cooked and tasty. I wasn't expecting chips as well, but they came and were very tasty with salty rosemary flavours. The burger was complemented with a garlicky dressing. Finished up with flat white coffee, which also hit the spot. The rustic decor and menu choices make it a place to highly recommend.
