Found through a google search of local cafes when in the area for the first time. Lovely looking artisan coffee and community place, delicately designed continued theme of an old fire station with authentic memorabilia dotted about the place. Rustic is the look. Soft lights and sofas make it cosy. Warm and inviting it seems to be. However, the service, though polite indeed, was very much akin to the kind of transactional approach seen at the chains. Disappointed as a warm welcome was expected, a personality, but sadly no not then, and there were a lot of staff on that day. Was second in line to place the order of a double espresso, a cappuccino and an almond crossaint. The place was a little busy, didn’t seem unmanageable by any means but we hadn’t realised how far their backlog was until 15 minutes later when our drinks arrived. There wasn’t a mention about the time it took. An acknowledgement would have at least seen past the lack of character. The espresso is certainly more for the bitter tasting coffee drinkers out there. The cappuccino, though very impressive in latte art form, was more a flat white as it lacked enough foam. Would love to give this place a 5 stars if not for those two points alone. Perhaps it was a one off, an off day, it’s more than likely as this shop seems to be very well supported and loved by the local community and so it should be....

Nestled just off the main road in a charming period house, this small café is a delightful find. Despite its cosy size, with only about five small tables inside, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. A bench area faces the window, offering stunning views of the nearby castle ruins and the river, especially enchanting with the flowers in full bloom.
The coffee here is a highlight—beautifully made and absolutely delicious. Our breakfast was equally impressive, crafted with care and full of flavour. The service was exceptionally friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The staff made us feel right at home, which enhanced the overall experience.
The café is dog-friendly, which is a big plus for pet owners. They even offer free dog biscuits, making it a welcoming spot for your four-legged friends.
If the weather is nice, you can choose from a selection of tables outside, where you can enjoy your meal in the sunshine. Overall, this café is a hidden gem that’s well worth a visit, especially for those who appreciate good coffee, friendly service, and a...
Read morePaid a visit today as we were passing through Tonbridge. Asked for a filter Coffee and Cappuccino and asked for sugar. I was then told I couldn't have sugar as it was a specialised coffee!! I found this very strange and I confirmed that I was having a takeaway coffee and that I would take the sugar and stirrer as I go. Problem sorted. My husband had a cappuccino and we both love our coffee's but we both thought these were awful. I couldn't actually drink mine after waiting way too long for them to be made. What looked like the manager-he was stood talking to the barista as she was making the cappuccino which definitely slowed the whole process down. There was no queue but they took over 10 minutes to make 2 coffee's !! I think it's important that you hear about our first experience in your coffee shop today as overall it was a particularly...
