Oriental Buffet Club — Restaurant in Tonbridge and Malling

This honestly has to be the worst food and meal I’ve ever had in my life!! I recommended it to a few friends as I had been here a year or two ago and it wasn’t too bad, we went for a meal last night and the food was absolutely awful! I complained about the food and was laughed at and ignored by the staff… our drinks were flat and were replaced by something completely different, the chicken balls were raw and doughy. The fosters they serve isn’t even fosters. We sent all our food back. I wouldn’t even give it to my dog. We was then given the bill of £108!?! I refused to pay then had my phone taken by the manager himself. Who then called the police. He blocked my fiancé while holding my 8month old son from leaving and he was absolutely screaming by this point. The other staff probably his family were all smug about it. Other customers were leaving and they said they will never be returning as it was appalling food. Horrible atmosphere. The place is covered in damp. I would never return to this place even if someone paid me to do so. The staff are ridiculously rude. They couldn’t give a care in the world for their customers. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere. Despicable service, way overpriced. Atmosphere like a funeral. DO NOT GO HERE. You will regret it!!!! p.s.. the good reviews funnily enough are written...

The manager's rude attitude was to blame for the disastrous end to a well-planned outing with my son. Clearly, he needs to be trained in customer service.

The bad customer service started with me giving a sip of water to my son from the bottle I had with me, which he very rudely asked me not to use. Then, I ordered a juice for myself and a buffet for my son, to which he rudely reiterated that I was not supposed to share, which I had no intentions of doing.

This offensive nature was quite frustrating and forced my son and me to leave without having any food.

I understand he may be working as per instructions from his management, but what I did not like was the offensive nature with which he kept repeating the restaurant's rules.

This kind of behaviour is unacceptable and will only take the restaurant down in spite of the good food I have had around 50 times over the last few years.

I do not want a response from the owner or management about this review, but I highly recommend that this man be trained to deal with customers.

Due to the obnoxious behaviour of such employees towards the customers, this restaurant is not recommended.

This kind of service can spoil a good outing for children and adults...

NOT VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY We ate here last night thinking that there would be vegetarian meals like sweet and sour vegetables or black bean vegetables because this is what the online menu stated aswell as the window. My husband tried Facebook messaging to check, but never had a reply. We had a few vegetable spring rolls with crispy seaweed which was extra salty, and broccoli and mushrooms. Then went to the mains and realised there was only rice, noodles or 'Dahl' available (in an Oriental 🧐). When I queried the waitress she said "YOU SHOULD HAVE PHONED...WE DON'T GET MANY VEGETARIANS HERE, YOU CAN'T EXPECT US TO SERVE EVERYTHING STATED ON THE MENU, WE JUST DO A SELECTION FROM IT". Well then that should be made clear and I don't think it is too much to ask for one vegetarian Chinese main course. There was beef, lamb, pork, chicken, duck, mussels etc. I think one of these could easily be switched to a veggie option. I have never known a Chinese or any restaurant not offer this.
